I had the pleasure of staying at Hostel Michikusa-ya, and it was an exceptional experience. Michi, the owner, is an absolute gem of a human being. From the start, he picked me up from the station, ensuring a smooth check-in. His warm hospitality and genuine care for every guest made this stay truly remarkable. The location is spectacular, with Mt. Fuji as the breathtaking backdrop. Waking up to this view every morning from the common area is a dream. The facilities are clean and comfortable, and Michi's willingness to offer advice and help with any needs truly stands out. I extended my stay because I couldn't bear to leave. If you're looking for an unforgettable Mt. Fuji experience with a wonderful host, look no further than Michi's hostel. It's a hidden gem that I wholeheartedly recommend. The hostel is really taken care of, especially for the design and people that are working there! I liked all the details of the place and their café where to have breakfast.

Fujikawaguchiko is wonderful on its own already, and our stay at Hachi made it the highlight of our trip. We spent 8 nights there - with a view of beautiful Mount Fuji from our room :). The owners and staff are super helpful and friendly, very calm and happy people, speak English (and Japanese of course), they gave us lots of recommendations for our activities. The hostel is very clean, cozy and a place to feel good. There are comfortable futon beds, the private rooms have traditional tatami mat flooring, free of cost good-smelling shower gel and shampoo, restaurants and shops are a 5-10 minute walk away, you can do laundry... It's a non-ending (great) story <3 In the mornings we ate a very tasty breakfast. There are other amenities such as free bikes to rent, a quiet and green environment, a bus right around the corner, the lake is just a few minutes walk away and also few attractions are at walking distance. We felt very welcomed throughout our entire stay. Thank you for the wonderful and peaceful time!

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The hostel was squeaky clean. The bathrooms are either new or were remodeled recently and are in pristine condition. The bed in the dorm was very comfortable and cozy. They offer free bicycles, tea/coffee, and Japanese snacks. There's a lovely rooftop with lounge chairs and a view of Mount Fuji. Not a party place. Definitely, one of the nicest hostels I've stayed at. Highly recommend.

Fujiyoshida Youth Hostel poskytuje pokoje v destinaci Fudžijošida. Jen 3,5 km odtud se nachází Fuji-Q Highland a Jezero Kawaguči je 7,8 km daleko. This place has something magical. The owner is well-prepared, hospitable, and provides everything you might need. Everything is clean and authentic, making you feel like you’ve stepped into a Japanese story. My room also had a view of Mt. Fuji and was located near the Chureito Pagoda. I was able to wake up early and take a 23-minute walk to watch the sunrise.

Dot Hostel&Bar 富士山 is located in Fujikawaguchiko. With a shared lounge, the property also has a bar. American breakfast is available. Nice and polite staff, hotel location, breakfasts, and cleanliness in the hotel
