I throughly enjoyed my stay at Casa Hera- especially as a solo traveller. Staff were friendly and helpful, pets were cute, facilities great. Highly recommend visiting the natural African Pool nearby.

They really make you feel at home; the entire staff is incredibly helpful, and if you need anything, you just have to ask. The room was beautiful, clean, and completely surrounded by nature, the perfect spot to relax and recharge. I also loved the atmosphere in the evenings; between the Bush baby sightings and karaoke nights, you never get bored! A special thanks to Ali, the volunteer, who gave us so much useful information and helped us organize all our tours and activities. Highly recommended!

Set in Mombasa, 500 metres from Fort Jesus, Tulia Old Town features views of the sea. Featuring room service, this property also provides guests with a terrace. Such a lovely place in a great location! Just right by the ocean with a beautiful balcony to sit and read a book, have some good food, or just have a conversation with other cool travelers from all over the world staying at the hostel. Staying in Old Town allowed me to walk around and explore different places including Fort Jesus. There is even a little butterfly house next to the fort and I was happy to randomly stop by on one of my evening walks. I felt like I was surrounded by culture and beauty and couldn't have enough of that. Jackie at the reception was one of the nicest people I have ever met. She helped me book and pay for my train ticket to Nairobi since I didn't have MPesa, went with me to look for my bolt driver who had parked a block from the property, and was there to answer any questions I had. Highly recommend!
