During my stay that night, everything was excellent. We were 6 people in the shared hostel and it was a great experience. The place is very clean and well maintained. One bed was only $5 with AC, and they even offered hot tea in the morning. The bathroom is new and very clean, and the bed was comfortable. Overall, a really nice place — highly recommended!”

The hostess was so kindhearted and went above and beyond for any small request or issue we had. She’s incredibly generous and cooks delicious food - especially the jackfruit from the tree next door! There was AC and a fan and a door to seperate between the two sections of the shared dorm if you want some privacy. It’s only a few minutes from the beach and about 3km to the town which is a nice walk along a road full of very friendly people.

Loshan and his family are super friendly hosts and make you feel very welcome and at home! Loved the atmosphere. And They help with anything you might need - laundry, activities, bike rent... There are always some cute dogs and cats around. The rooms have everything you need and are very clean. Best however is the location of the place! Only a few minutes walk from the beach but far enough so you don't hear the music from the beach parties all night. There's many shops and restaurants nearby. Also the restaurant they have at the hostel is delicious!! Loved the breakfast!

I had an amazing stay at Laughing Leopard in Trinco. I stayed a week- extending my stay twice! The staff is absolutely amazing and it’s clear that they genuinely care about the guests and the property. They go above and beyond to make sure everyone is cared for and happy, whether it’s arranging activities, tuk tuks, meals, etc. Okay wifi, good for Sri Lanka. Air con in the room from 8pm - 8am. Family dinner every night for 1000 lkr. Free breakfast which is amazing traditional Sri Lankan breakfast. 3 minute walk from the beach where there are bars/restaurants/cafes and many dive shops. Between the hammocks/central couch area and the organized activities happening every day, you’re guaranteed to have a fun, relaxing stay.

There was no AC remote in the room but there was a fan, the bathroom was en suite so that was nice and the location was decent, only thing it’s a dead end alley so you have to walk around the corner to get to the beach.
