Homy Seafront Hostel is situated in Kota Kinabalu, within 3.6 km of Sabah State Museum & Heritage Village and 5.4 km of North Borneo Railway. The hype is real! Homy offers large lockers that I could fit my entire medium suitcase into, spacious beds (I think they're a bit longer and wider than a twin?), blackout privacy curtains, a whole row of well placed hooks for each bed, North American electrical outlets, and individual lights for each bed. Everything is well designed and well laid out. The kitchen is well equipped with a microwave, toaster, and refrigerator. And the view of the waterfront is everything! The internet is strong and works well, the showers and toilets were clean, and the kitchen/lounge is constantly cleaned as well.

Concrete Jungle Cabin is set in Kota Kinabalu, within 4.1 km of Sabah State Museum & Heritage Village and 5.2 km of Likas City Mosque. I loved how comfy the bed is. The showers and toilets were separated and kept clean by the care takers. Though I have to keep quite all the time as the dorm was also occupied with other travellers. I checked in quite late and stayed only for 6 hours and prior to my late arrival, as the reception is only available for 12 hours, the management sent me a message on Booking for self check-in which was so convenient and great especially for a late check-in. Thank you for the auntie who was there to help me out as well. Loved her vibe! Place is situated at the heart of Gaya Street, right in front of Jesselton Hotel and quite close to Wisma Merdeka (which was my main purpose to go there). I'm grateful for the locker underneath. Got to store my luggage inside safely, whilst I roam around the street. Affordable? Definitely Location? Yes Clean and comfortable? Yes Would I book here again? Yes

AeCOTEL Mingle Hostel is located in Sandakan. The accommodation provides a shared kitchen, a shared lounge and organising tours for guests. Stayed in the dorm which was so comfortable - lovely thick doona and really nice pillow. Great shared facilities kept very clean. Allowed me to store my bags whilst going on a river safari.

Great location, walking distance to pier. Breakfast was simple but adequate. Plenty of restaurants nearby - ask the staff for local recommendations as many restaurants serve Chinese food.

They also have laundry, location is near convenient stores, mall and restaurants! My go to place when i frequent in visiting Kota Kinabalu! Keep it up!

Tanini Sepilok Formerly Known As Nature Lodge Sepilok is offering accommodation in Sepilok. Boasting a tour desk, this property also provides guests with a restaurant. This is a spiffy, well-run lodge with great staff, convenient location and a wide variety of accommodations. We had one night in a mixed dorm and another night in a deluxe room. Both were excellent rooms and good value. I liked being a 10-minute walk away from the Rainforest Discovery Center. Special thanks to Ling for her helpful information and generous hospitality.
