Located in Turangi, Riverstone Lodge, a 5-star hostel, offers a shared kitchen, a shared lounge and free WiFi. The property provides garden views and a terrace. Best place I stayed in all of New Zealand!! Sandra is incredibly kind and helpful. Riverstone was a great base to wait out the weather to hike the tongariro crossing. The place itself is super clean and cozy, and has a nice patio to enjoy the sun and a well equipped kitchen.

Multiple clean and comfortable toilets and showers. A big kitchen with all you need to cook and enjoy a meal. A dining room with multiple tables for guests. A front room with views of the water. A beautiful outdoor space. Easy laundry and lines to hang items. The bed was comfortable and the sound of the water was amazing to sleep to. The check in was smooth and staff was friendly.

This was literally the best hostel I ever stayed and I stayed definitely in over 50+ hostels around the world. Check in was so easy and very friendly staff, the room are nice, specious and clean, the beds are huge for hostel to be honest and very comfortable and quiet, no need to worry about noise in the night. There is light and electricity next to the bed. Also the door makes it very private capsule. Another nice touch was barber and coffee in the lobby with huge kitchen to cook own meals. It’s really paradise, can’t wait to return it again.

Newly opened and refurbished in October 2020, Wanderlust NZ is a waterfront hostel located in a historical building in downtown Tauranga. Friendly staff, great vibe, great location.

Finlay Jack's Backpackers offers an ideal location in Taupo. The hostel offers single bed dormitory's. * Friendly and helpful staff. I was late to check-in due to flight cancellation, the staff was very helpful and I got the room key with the instructions. * Clean, comfortable room. Nice Shower too. * Good location. There's a supermarket just next door. * Good size kitchen. Good facilities for cooking. Lots of appliances for making almost everything you want.

The centrally located Rock Solid Backpackers Rotorua offers free WiFi, a neighboring rock-climbing wall and a spacious guest lounge including a tour desk, a billiards table and a cinema. The access was easy for all times of the day. The lounges and kitchen spaces were large and suitable for my child to be in. Staff were incredible from initial phone calls to during stay.

Discover the vibrant pulse of New Zealand’s capital at Haka House Wellington! Lovely place considering it’s a hostel. I wouldn’t usually book and stay at a hostel but wanted to stay where my son’s sports team was and I was pleasantly surprised at everything. My ensuite room was just perfect for what I needed this weekend.
