Te Anau Lakefront Backpackers se nachází na břehu jezera Te Anau, 5 minut pěšky od centra města. Nabízí výhled na hory a jezero z většiny pokojů. This place was so worth the splurge!! I essentially had this gorgeous studio all to myself - everything was extremely comfy and I loved the aesthetic. Also, spotless!!! Which is very important to me. I also got to spend time with a friendly black cat. Parking isn't an issue either - even when full there's tons of free street parking right behind the place.

The rooms were small but comfortable, entire hostel was very quiet and the other guests all seemed to be on the same page about noise. The kitchen was large and well stocked. The staff was also very kind. This is a hostel with more of a hotel/motel feel which was a nice change from other properties!

This stay was exactly what we needed after a long hike. All the facilities worked as they should. A very cozy, retro property that has plenty of charm. We really enjoyed our stay here, and Nathan was extremely friendly and helpful. We highly recommend this place.
