Punta Huanchaco Hostel in Huanchaco provides adults-only accommodation with a shared lounge, a terrace and water sports facilities. stop looking at other hostels in huanchaco and just stay here, trust me! if you love hostels that feel like one big family, this is the perfect place. the hostel mom and dad are Dario and Gigi, a lovely couple who always take the time to get to know every newcomer, are always down for a chat, and are always ready to help you with anything you need. they radiate a genuine sense of hospitality thats rare and hard to comeby elsewhere. the hostel is small of around 15-20 spots which makes for a cute and homely atmosphere. i have many fond memories of going out with everyone to surf together, drinking a beer at sunset, chatting and hanging out on the terasses, cooking, playing games, and going out for dinner together. the fascilities are great. theres a well-equipped and spotless kitchen, the beds are comfortable, and the bathrooms are nice and spacious. the entire hostel is cleaned thoroughly everyday. the living room is perfect for relaxing together, with 5 adorable cats that are always down to cuddle. theres a nice spatious downstairs area with tables and chairs, and another large balcony terrass to chill in. plus a yoga room to top it off! the location is perfect. one reason is for surfing: because the current carries you northwards, its convenient to paddle out closer to the south side, where the hostel is located. another reason is that its close to many restaurants, only a 5 minute walk from the coolest beach club in town called Frogs, and directly opposite 2 convenience stores. The most awesome surfschool ever (Muchik), is only 7 minutes away and is directly opposite the best place to surf as a beginner. I highly recommend going to muchik if you want to learn how to surf. The surfinstructors there are so much fun and very attentive. They became very close friends of mine throughout my stay. leaving this place was a hard thing to do and i stayed for over 6 weeks.

Offering a sun terrace and views of the sea, ATMA Hostel & Yoga is located in Huanchaco in the La Libertad Region, 11 km from Trujillo. One of the best hostel I have been to ! the place is really beautiful, terraces with hammocks on each floor, the rooms are cosy and spacious, hot water in the shower. The kitchen is well equipped and clean ! And the best of all are the yoga classes !

Strenua - Las Quintanas is located in a commercial and residential area near the historic centre of Trujillo. This property is really nice, the staff were all friendly and helpful. Everything is clean, the rooms are spacious, at least the one we had. It included a bathroom, bedroom, a living room area, refrigerator, microwave. Our room here was bigger than some of the Airbnb properties we have been to. We thought it was nice that they bring your breakfast to you, since the rooms have a table area where you can eat. The shared kitchen has everything we needed. Hot water always available. The area that the hotel is in feels safe and is pretty close to everything, maybe 5 minutes' walk from the central plaza, very close to multiple grocery stores, lots of restaurants, etc. The place is located in a quiet street. The airport transfer service is reliable. Definitely one of the nicest places we've stayed in, if not the nicest.

Dream Place Trujillo offers rooms in Trujillo near Trujillo Municipality and Trujillo Main Square. Featuring a concierge service, this property also provides guests with a terrace. Great location. Quiet, secure neighbourhood. Easy walk to the old town. Buses to Chan Chan and Huanchaco go right past the end of the road. Short walk to El Dorado bus terminal for buses to Máncora. Nice top floor terrace sitting area with sunset. Fridge to store food. Cafe downstairs does good coffee. Staff were helpful and kept my luggage until my late bus. Big comfortable room, fast WiFi, good shower, lamp and sockets beside the bed.

Hospedaje Restaurante El Hombre has a shared lounge, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Puerto Chicama. A few steps from Playa Puerto Chicama, the property provides a private beach area. The best Hostel in Chicama by far. Great atmosphere in a great location. Along with all other travellers I met in my time at el hombres we stayed longer than expected. All the rooms and amenities are incredibly clean and comfortable. The communal kitchen is well equipped and the restaurant down stairs will not disappoint. This hostel caters for all walks of life and the staff are always willing to help. I recommend El hombre’s to anyone passing through the area. I will be back.

Located 30 metres from El Helio beach, 200 metres from Los Pinos main street and commercial area, My Friend Surf Hostal offers free Wi-Fi, a terrace, a bar and BBQ facilities in Huanchaco. It is a nice place if you want to have a nice and quiet place where you can meet other travelers near Trujillo and want (learn to) surf! Randy the owner is the nicest guy and will help you with your questions and requests!

Boasting a bar, Pointbreak Surf Camp is situated in Huanchaco in the La Libertad region, 300 metres from Huancarute and 300 metres from El Mogote. Amazing vibe in the hostel, somehow it attracts the perfect mixture of people. Most importantly, it's right in front of the surfspot. Audrey and Joan make sure you feel welcome and will help you with anything you need. One of the dorms has a seaview from the beds if you turn the pillow, I've never had that in a dorm before. You can hear the sound of the ocean to fall asleep.

717 Pizarro guesthouse in Trujillo provides adults-only accommodation with a garden, a shared lounge and a terrace. It has an excellent location. Right at the historical center. Despite its location on the main business street, it is surprisingly quiet at night. The building itself is also a beautiful historic building from the republican era. The hotel owner is so nice, giving me all local insider’s tips about the city. He also helped me booking a tour around the archeological sites nearby for no commission fees.

Set in Puerto Chicama and with Playa Puerto Chicama reachable within 1.1 km, Hotel Los Burritos offers a terrace, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi and a restaurant. Los Burritos is a great place to stay for budget travellers looking for great value for money in an amazing location. The “small” room we booked was large and clean. Common areas include multiple terraces and a well equipped shared kitchen. Although there is a kitchen, check out the restaurant downstairs. The medium size pizza will feed 2 hungry surfers, and is very generous with toppings. Brian, the host, makes his own dough so the pizza is homemade from scratch. Finally, you can ask Brian anything and he will be happy to help you. Would happily return again.
