Virginia is an amazing host and I’m so grateful for how safe and comfortable I felt in the beautiful property. I especially loved having breakfast and tea outside on the patio in the sun. I absolutely recommend Castaway!

This beautiful Hostel felt more like a home from home! This was the children’s first hostel experience and they loved it!! The staff are all so helpful and kind and the surf lessons with Migel were so much fun!! The location is quiet and relaxing but close to the buzz of the surf town on bike, foot or by car. We would recommend to any family or friends travelling here for the surf 🌊

Situated in Baleal, Surf House Peniche offers beachfront accommodation 400 metres from Baleal Camping Beach and features various facilities, such as free bikes, a shared lounge and a terrace. Amazing location 2 min away from the beach. Huge common areas and garden with everything you could need. Immaculately clean. And Louis is a amazing host and incredible surf instructor. Highly recommended.

Right across the street from Supertubos Beach, this hostel is located in one of the premier surfing spots in Portugal. What a gem this place is! Hosts Luis and Nadia are welcoming and helpful in sending you to all the best castles, gardens and beaches. The Portuguese coast region is a Mecca for surfers, but even for a non-surfer elder woman, staying here was the highlight of my visit to Portugal. It became a home; the lovely girls on staff (Tina, Vivi, Jule and Malwina) and young German guests included me as if I were their grandmother. I am an experienced world traveler but have never felt like I was family the minute I arrived.

Set in Pataias and with Paredes de Vitoria Beach reachable within 100 metres, Paredes Surf House offers concierge services, non-smoking rooms, a shared lounge, free WiFi throughout the property and... Everything was perfect: the location, the proximity to the beach, and the cleanliness. The beds were comfortable, and the manager, Carlos Pereira, was friendly, attentive, and helpful. I've never had a better hostel experience than this one.

33 Hostel - Youth Hostel 18 to 35 Only in Baleal provides adults-only accommodation with a shared lounge, a terrace and a bar. The staff (Paulo & Marra) were fantastic! They make you feel so at home and feel like long time friends after only a short stay! The hostel is spacious and secure with one wristband to open everything which was very convenient. All the spaces were exceptionally clean and the breakfast on offer was great! Social activities were well organised and a great way to mix with the other guests - I really didn’t want to leave! Surf rental was super cheap and convenient too!!
