The first thing I noticed about this hostel was that the owner makes everything clean and organized. In the kitchen, there are basic utensils, electronic pot, microwave, drinking water and fridge. The bed in dorm room is fairly big for one person and comfortable. There are a power socket, personal light for each bed and you can use a locker too. The location was great. 10 minutes walking to the beach, 3 minutes walking to 7-11, a lot of local restaurants, a local market, beverage shops and fruits shops. 10 minutes to massage shop by foot. I could go to the main pub area in 20 minutes by foot as well. But the best thing is that even it is close to all things I need, the hostel area is not noisy. I only can hear the noise from the cars or scooters at night even I used the bed just right in front of the balcony door. As a female solo traveler, I feel it is a quite safe area to walk around at night. People mingle in the living room at night. We talked about our travel stories and shared the recommendations. I have met good travel buddies and we went to the bars a few times. I have to mention the owner of this hostel, Tharita. She is a local and takes care of the guests so well. We shared our personal stories, cooked together and she showed me around the area, recommended the spots and helped me to organize to go to the pier/tour. She is a very nice, lovely and funny lady. She speaks very good English and she is more than happy to let you know what is a real Thai experience. All guests like her and she also likes the influence from other cultures and wants to learn from them. She made my day many times. I'd like to come back this hostel to see her and talk more about our stories. I will miss DK1. P.S: don't be skeptical about the rating. 9.6 out of 10 is real. If you stay at DK1, you will know why this hostel marks so high score. Tharita works really hard to make this hostel nice and feel like home.

The property is situated 4.5 km from Ao Muong, 500 metres from Exchange/ATM Sairee Branch and 3.7 km from Chalok Viewpoint. I really enjoyed staying in Silver Na’s. The hostel was very social without being a party hostel, while I stayed there everyone was more focused on diving or beach days. The hostel offers a free shuttle service to a different beach every day which is a great way to see Koh Tao if you aren’t going to rent a scooter. The location is great, an easy 3 minute walk to Sairee Beach and the town area with restaurants and 7 eleven. Would highly recommend if you’re looking for a more chill vibe while also having the social element.

MBAR HOSTEL HAAD RIN has a fitness centre, shared lounge, a terrace and restaurant in Haad Rin. Boasting a bar, the hostel is close to several noted attractions, around 300 metres from Haad Rin Nok Beach, 300 metres from Haad Rin Nai Beach and 600 metres from Leela Beach. The accommodation features nightclub and an ATM. The hostel owner and staff were amazing people to meet and spend time with. The hostel facilities, ambiance, and location were far better than any of the other hostels in haadrin. Kudos! C U again soon!

At the hostel, rooms come with a patio with a garden view. All rooms are complete with a shared bathroom and air conditioning, and some rooms include a balcony. The rooms have a safety deposit box. Honestly, everything is great. The showers are the amazing . They also keep the toilets super clean 24/7. The social vibe is really good, not a party hostel at all, but can chill and chat with anyone at any time. You can do your laundry there, which is great if not amazing. The beds are big, like seriously. For bunker beds, the space you got is really good. You got a big locker where space is not an issue. The owners have picked the best things you can get at every hostel and tried to apply it to their own. The crazy part is that they are still trying to improve it. All in all, it's one of the best stays I have had and will definitely come back here next time.
