Set in the heart of Donghai shopping area in Taichung, 1.5 km away from Luce Chapel, 框框背包客棧 Kuang Kuang Hostel boasts fittings and decorations in a student dormitory style. A barbecue and a big yard terrace are featured. One of the best hostels I’ve stayed in in Taiwan or anywhere else. Rooms and facilities were very clean and comfortable, building had character and charm. Location was convenient as we had to attend an event at the university nearby, and the staff were extremely helpful. Double room was also very affordable for the quality.

Fengjia Night Market is 3.4 km from the inn and National Museum of Natural Science is a 10-minute walk away. I stayed in the hostel for 3 nights and really liked the general vibes. Everything was clean and modern, spacious bed, AC in the room, clean and "comfortable" showers, great common area with eating space + chilling area + meditation area. Also huge plus for the cute smiling cute and the kind staff! Also good location, in the middle of the main attractions points and just next to bus stops (also lots of shops around, with a 7/11 in front).

The rooms in the accommodation are equipped with a flat-screen TV and a computer. The location couldn't be better! Right beside the Night Market, Old Street, and Temple, with so many food options. The staff were very helpful with recommendations even though we needed to use google translate. Everything was perfect: clean, spacious, and comfortable. The big tub was especially appreciated after a long day of bicycling. While there is no elevator in this renovated building, it was only a couple flights of stairs, so not a problem as long as you expect it.
