The room was much more luxurious than the photos suggest! Super easy to find and a great location on the main pedestrian street in Shkodra.

Located in the heart of one of the most famous pedestrian streets in Albania, Hotel Carmen is not only positioned in the center of the historical zone of Shkodra, but the building itself is a historical piece, as it used to be the Austro-Hungarian consulate. The European Union offices are still to this day operating in the neighbouring building. Far from the traffic noise and pollution, this hotel is ideal for tourists in search of cultural attractions. The christian church, the orthodox church and the Ebu Beker mosque can all be found within 100 meters. Also around 300 meters away, there's the St. Stephen's Cathedral, which is the biggest church in the Balkans. Another major tourist attraction that's right next to the hotel, is the "Marubi" phototheque, which is a living proof of albanian art, culture and innovation throughout the years.
