CanadaGood location on our way to the ferry at Koman (this was a great experience too!). The staff doesn’t speak English very well but really tries to understand you and that pays off at the end. They are very nice people. Good food, it looked like people from the neighborhood came there to have dinner too. Also the breakfast was very nice and extensive. Great value for money.

We needed to get up early to get to the Komani ferry terminal, so they prepared breakfast for us specially. We chose this hotel specifically because it seemed a great location to access the road to the ferry and indeed it is - would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to make the ferry trip (which is absolutely incredible).

IsraelFriendly owner, nice rooms, good breakfast, and also great for dinner! Very spacious and a great location to use as a stop to travel to Koman for the ferry the next day (1.15 hr drive). They will even adapt breakfast times for you in case you need to make the early ferry.
NetherlandsWe stayed here for one night after the ferry trip on the Komani lake. The hotel is easy to find because it is exactly opposite the Hasmegaj petrol station, which can be easily seen from the road. The house is very well kept and run by extremely friendly people (maybe after Valbona we did not expect too much). It is luxuriously built (in an otherwise not very luxurious area) and our room had everything we needed. The most positive surprise was the breakfast: It was served at a table outside and included a lot of stuff, prepared fresh. We even got a bottle of brandy as a farewell gift (we brought chocolate :-) ). On booking.com, there is not a huge selection in this area. As long as a room is available, just book one here. p.s.: When you go to Koman after staying here (only 37 km!), be prepared for a very rough ride, even for Albanian standards. Plan 2 hours to be safe.

ChinaThe hotel seems to be in the middle of nowhere, but there is a jewel of a restaurant just a few kilometers into the mountains on the reservoir. It is well worth staying a night or two to be able to enjoy a sunset dinner at Restaurant Perla. Back to Hotel Hasmegaj, the breakfast of sausage, eggs, cheese, orange juice, bread and jam was adequate, prepared once we arrived at the dining room meaning the eggs and sausage was hot! Excellent. We enjoyed our stay.
