Mary is an exceptional hostess. She is very attentive to anything you need, she made sure her mom was there to greet us when we arrived. We are vegetarians and she went out of her way to serve delicious vegetarian dinner and breakfast- and served us coffee in a unique tree house. She arranged for activities while we stayed with her at her unique home and arranged for onward transport. Mary is a wonderful hostess and made our stay in Armenia one of the highlights of our trip

Guest House Mary's was the highlight of our stays in Armenia. Mary and her family were incredibly warm and hospitable and gave us the best dinner and breakfast we had in Armenia. We were happy to make their home the first and last place we stayed in Armenia both before and after crossing the border. The home is a stone's throw from Haghpat monastery with incredible views of the canyon and ideally located off the main road. The house is quirky and fun, and Mary and her family make for an incredible welcome. Wouldn't miss seeing them again next we're in Armenia!

We immediately felt welcome at Guest House Mary. It is less than an hour drive from the Georgian border. The Haghpat monastery is a short walk away. It is also possible to do the longer hike to Sanahin. We accepted Mary's offer to have dinner at the Guest House (extra). We had the opportunity to taste many different local specialties and it was absolutely delicious. Mary puts her whole heart in the guest house and we were very happy to have chosen her place for our first night in Armenia.

Guest House Mary is a lovely place in the village of Haghpat. Mary and her mother are absolutely wonderful. They were so kind and helpful to us and they prepared the most sumptuous meals as well as afternoon tea each day with freshly made cakes. Tjhe rooms are very comfortable and quiet. Wow, what an absolutely brilliant guesthouse. Mary and her mother are simply wonderful hosts, and you are made to feel welcome and at home as soon as you arrive. Beds comfortable, plenty of hot water, huge meals you’ll never have a hope of finishing, a property steeped in history and one that exudes ambiance. I wanted to stay here two nights, but it was only available for one! Thank you Mary, this stay was my best in Armenia and one I’ll remember forever!
