It's a cute, layback, friendly town.
It's a cute, layback, friendly town. Luckily not much foreign tourists and not a big nightlife, but very homey place. Lots of green, flowering trees and flowering bushes. Town is surrounded by small hills with great views. El Centinela is a huge boulder standing on its narrow base, Cerro Movediza has a climbing trail to the top, there is Don Quijote, Sancho Panza and a fake windmill overlooking the town and a dammed lake. Going farther would require some transportation other than walking around. There is a tourist map with a number of points of interests of different types, it is great to plan sightseeing.

The best place on the province. The people is the nicest.
The best place on the province. The people is the nicest. There are sooo many places to visit in the city! You never get bored. You can go cycling, trailing, running and the best part is that you can do any of those 24/7. This is a safe city. There are events all times of the year, like theatre, music concerts, fairs, games for childer EVERYWHERE. I love it and recommend everyone to visit Tandil.

Amazing city full of activities to share with energetic and healthy people! If you are traveling with kids as we did (a 5 and a 2 year old) there is plenty to do outdoors, although they will have to be willing to climb, walk and move around, as there is always a section of paths/activities that requires people to do that on their own (no cars). Climbing up rocky hills or steep paths can be extremely funny and/or exhausting depending on how you take up physical activity and/or you are in a rush to visit every place in a short time..... Most of the activities take up to an hour, an hour and a half if you take your time to enjoy both the landscape and sightseeing of the city from the distance, or your are not a somebody who regularly trains. Amazing places to eat, for cheap prices and excellent food. If you are visiting the tea house (excellent place), keep in mind there is quite a long waiting time if you go between 5 and 7 pm....Dany VillabrilleArgentina
