It is said that abundance in Mendoza was so great at the beginning of the 20th century, that the Wine Festival was celebrated pouring this elixir in the city’s fountains and street-side irrigation canals. Located at Mount Aconcagua’s footstep, the city is an oasis in the middle of the dry beauty of the central Argentinean Andes.
Originally inhabited by indigenous peoples, the colonial city was founded in 1561. The irrigation system created by the natives was further developed and became an icon of the city, currently watering near 100,000 trees. The design of the central district includes squares and avenues, and has some of the best luxury hotels in Mendoza.
It is surrounded by vineyards and cellars producing world-class wines. Don’t miss the renowned Malbec variety, and try some of the boutique hotels and rural ‘estancias’ in Mendoza’s wine areas.
Its historic relevance comes from the fact that Argentinean hero José de San Martín prepared here his pioneering crossing of the Andes in 1817, aimed to liberate Chile. This amazing trip with mules and on foot is repeated every year by a group of enthusiasts. The area is actually well-known for mountain sports like hiking, rafting, and skiing.

Mendoza is a great location for food & wine lovers.
Mendoza is a great location for food & wine lovers. Great vineyards are close by, as is the option to experience a ‘Gaucho’ horse ride & dinner up in the Andes. Lovely town centre with beautiful parks. Great place to visit!

Mendoza was a lovely city, with almost every street having big shade trees. It felt safe to walk around in, with lots of people out in the evening, and so many places to choose from to eat, often all in the same location on both sides of the street for several blocks, so all you have to do is pick one. There's a lot of variation in the quality of the places available to stay, so I would recommend one with a lot of good reviews. There are also a lot of good tours available, to vineyards, horseback riding, the Andes mountains, and more. We were excited to see wild guanacos (a type of llama) at a couple of places in the older, lower mountains!

There are only two cities in the world that I have liked visiting. One is Vienna Austria and the other is Mendoza. I had no idea that I would like the city as much as I did. Tree lined streets and very clean for the most part unlike other cities I have been to. The people were very nice. All the large cities in the USA are awful in this present day. Not Mendoza. I would go back just to spend more time there. You can have New York, Chicago, Atlanta, Houston, etc. Mendoza is well worth a visit.

You need to go to 23 Rios Craft Beer, not just because they have the most awarded beer, but because they have a great atmosphere and is great to stop drinking wine for one day and replace it by beer. :)

Great if you like wine.
Great if you like wine. If you are not a wine lover, it can be a bit of a challenge to find varied things to do.
Easy to get around and explore the city. Once you leave Mendoza to the Uco Valley the distances between destinations and wineries become long.
Many restaurants are geared towards tourists and have exclusively tasting meus with prix fixed. This can be overwhelming and too rich for everyday dining.
My recent stay at this B&B in Mendoza was nothing short of excellent. The spacious and comfortable rooms provided a welcoming retreat, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The commitment to cleanliness was evident.
Superb location, allowing easy access to Mendoza's attractions. Whether exploring the city or venturing into the surrounding areas, the convenience of the B&B's location added immense value to my stay.
Top choice for travelers seeking comfort, cleanliness, and a prime location.
The property was beautiful with a lovely back yard - it was like a comfortable home. We were truly treated like family - and the service was exceptional. The personal information provided when we arrived about the hotel, the surrounding area and the attention to detail was extraordinary. We had a few special requests (laundry, car cleaning, etc.) that were dealt with efficiently and with ease. Best place to stay in Mendoza, hands down.
Breakfast - Excelent view, good variety, but cosidering the price we expected a little bit more.
The room was very clean and large, with a good view too.
The location is perfect, just in Italia Square!
There are some facilities because there are a little mall with restaurants and bars. But the hotel doesnt have a restaurante or a pool bar,
The staff was, in general, very friendly and polite.
The parking lot was perfect.
The place is owned by the most lovely woman I have met on my trip. A warm welcome and so incredibly helpful when I asked for dental advise. She went out of her way to help. I'm very grateful for that.
Besides the place is really cozy and has all you need, Ideally situated in the center of Mendoza.
Comfortabel bed, ac, small but functional kitchen.
We will definitely come back here when we are back in Mendoza.
The property is located in the new city and is really close to mostly everything in Mendoza city.
The bed was very comfortable and the apartment was overall very cozy. It was fully air conditioned as well (which was amazing given we were caught in the heatwave in Mendoza).
Gaston was brilliant as well as he provided us with numerous recommendations and was very responsive whenever we needed him.
Beautiful well cared for hotel in a great location to the pedestrian areas of central Mendoza and close to parks and museums. The rooms are a really good size and have nice king size beds. Everything was very, very clean. The staff were terrific and exceedingly helpful with everything. The breakfast buffet was fantastic.
The house has a beautiful view and a wonderful host! He helped us book tours and tastings in Mendoza. The property is quite large and well stocked with everything you need. We were a family of four but it could easily accommodate 2 families. The pool is very nice for cooling off after a hot day! We had a wonderful time.
Clean, comfortable hotel. Nice breakfast. Very helpful and friendly staff. It's a good location for walking around Mendoza but the city itself doesn't have much to offer. Small roof terrace with pool was very welcome and had a phone facility to order drinks and snack. Good value for what we paid
Location is amazing, on downtown Mendoza. 15-20 mins walk to Parque San Martin, a short walk to bars, cafes, restaurants, wine stores, minimarkets near calle Sarmiento. Within tourist pickup route for travel agencies. Has good breakfast and staff is good, helpful and friendly
The hotel staff were really helpful and fixed the mistakes made by Booking. I had tried to contact Booking around five times to fix multiple mistakes made over four deprecate bookings for my time in Argentina and did not receive a reply. I would not recommend Booking.com
Very helpful staff! I had limited time in hotel nevertheless I felt well taken care of. With my limited Spanish they did a lot to understand me. spacious and clean room. Great localisation for bus transfer. I appreciate the opportunity to store my luggage.
We absolutely loved our stay at Huli! The hotel is centrally located, within minutes walk from a ton of great restaurants, it’s modern and clean, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We highly recommend Huli for your stay in Mendoza.
Great location, comfortable apartment (not huge but has everything you need). Paola and Carlo were great to deal with and even able to hand over the keys early when my overnight bus arrived around 11:30 to Mendoza
Classic old home converted into a BNB. A bit worn around the edges but great to be in Mendoza's best neighborhood. The huge park next door is nice but for walking tourists, it's a bit far from any action.
Despite COVID arrangements, the staff made our week-long stay very pleasant. The location could not be better. My next visit to Mendoza will include this hotel as my base.
