Location is amazing, just a short 15-20 minute car drive to the famous Mossman Gorge - DONT LEAVE PORT DOUGLAS WITHOUT GOING TO MOSSMAN GORGE - a truly great place to swim but be very, very, extremely cautious whilst in the water - the currents are very strong in some areas of the gorge.
Port Douglas is very scenic and majestic with many beautiful beaches - most of which you really cannot swim as there are signs advising caution with the possibility of crocks and marine stingers. Port Douglas has a vast range of eateries - would definitely recommend staying/visiting.

Port Douglas is a beautiful sleepy coastal town that is spotlessly clean, tropical, and well-positioned to visit the reef and other attractions in the area. We could have stayed a week just kicking back and relaxing in this beautiful town, enjoying many cafes, bars, and pubs. I'd highly recommend visiting this beautiful part of Queensland.

A quaint and picturesque town, with an abundance of live music, good restaurants and coffee shops. The walk over Flagstaff Hill is tough in places but well worth the effort. Plenty to do, or just as easily relax.

Port Douglas is a beautiful town, great weather and so many experiences!
I love the tours of The Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest.
Amazing restaurants and very friendly people makes this my favourite Australian destination!
100 Meters from 4 Mile Beach and swimming enclosure. In the Main street of Port Douglas so access to all facilities (Shopping, Retail, Eateries Etc) really good. Adults only makes it quiet and peaceful. Pristine property, beautifully kept gardens, clean and tidy rooms and a wonderful pool area. Mine Hosts Ken and Colin are terrific guys who run an great boutique, value for money operation. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they very accommodating. Have stayed in several properties in PD over many years and this rates very highly.
Reception staff were very friendly and provided lots of information about where to eat and activities to do. Handy...yes, but not sure how useful this is in reality. Friends who had travelled to Port Douglas previously had warned us to secure dinner bookings well in advance of the trip as places book out extremely quickly, especially during peak seasons. We stayed in a ground floor room with pool access. Pools are great. Good size and nice temp. We also didn't find them overcrowded with people.
We loved the pool! It was perfect for relaxing for a few days after our long set of flights from the USA. We got a complimentary upgrade to a nicer room based on availability which was also really great. Poolside drink service, close walking distance to the beach, town and port/wharf. Would totally stay here again or recommend to future people staying in Port Douglas.
Excellent location, close to restaurants and shops and even closer distance to the beach. Very well thought through appartment with everything required for a comfortable stay. The bed was very comfy. Anne was very helpful and capable on advising on any aspect of your stay in Port Douglas. I felt very welcome and spent a great time relaxing and exploring the region.
The apartments were very clean and spacious with a private balcony. The location was very close to the beach, marina and the main street. The owners Amanda and Peter were incredible and went above and beyond to help us out with booking tours and general recommendations. Would definitely recommend Outrigger to anyone wanting to stay in Port Douglas.
The Central Plaza Port Douglas was a great spot. We pre judged thinking because it was so cheap for 3 nites, that it would be just OK, but it ended up exceeding our expectations. Pool was handy, great location, quiet top floor unit and the price was a bonus. The units were very roomy and loved having the 2 bathrooms for 4 adults was awesome too.
Great location right in the heart of Port Douglas. There were two pools, one heated, and one not. BBQ facilities and lots of undercover parking onsite. Staff that run the rooms are not onsite - yet were very easy to reach and were very helpful. Very spacious rooms, amazing shower. We would definitely recommend this hotel for others.
Sea temple resort is our favourite place to holiday in Port Douglas. The layout of the resort is easy to navigate, the facilities are great, the food/restaurant is awesome (love that omlette bar!!) & the rooms are so comfortable & private. It's the perfect place to escape from the world. We will definitely be back again!!!
On check in, I got Brenda and she was excellent. Friendly, informative and helped me to my room because of the stairs.
Room was excellent and I stayed an extra night and was happy to move rooms. Breakfast staff were lovely. Great location and would certainly recommend this Hotel. A great stay in Port Douglas. Thank you
Fabulous apartment with all the things for a stay like you were at home. Nicely decorated and generous kitchen supplies as well as toiletries. Quiet and cool. Loved it! I was also very kindly collected when my taxi from my previous accommodation in Port Douglas was unavailable. Thanks so much Michelle and John!
The position of the apartments were exceptional for a stay in Port Douglas, additionally the staff were welcoming, informative and helpful. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. Internet was great and the pool area was the ideal place to unwind after a day of activities.
The pool is great and my 2 year old loved it no matter the weather. It’s big and clean and a nice temperature. We ordered salads from the pool bar which were delicious though expensive. The hotel is picturesque and only a 5-10 min drive from Port Douglas.
The room was very spacious with the comfy bed. It was self service so we had to keep tidy which is no big deal. the staff were so helpful when booking tours around port Douglas. Location is close to beach and town.
Loved the location... outlook into the rainforest was spectacular. We hired bikes and rode into Port Douglas very easily along the beach. Also very peaceful and private from the adjacent two townhouses.
Comfort level of the house. The location was close to Port Douglas but also just outside the town so lovely and quiet. The house was spacious and also had very good wifi and air con.
This hotel was great value for money especially for Port Douglas. Super clean and plenty of room. For us the location was excellent as we had a wedding only 400m away.
The hotel was in a great location. Overpriced for what it was but it was safe, had everything you need for a stay in Port Douglas, and offered day-trips which I used.
the Ramada is a beautiful hotel, the pool is amazing, there is a path to four mile beach which is a 5 minute walk away and the staff are so helpful and wonderful.
The room was spacious and clean. The staff were also very friendly. Highly recommend to those who will be travelling to Port Douglas, in a great location!
