Private and tranquil, a perfect getaway just 10mins from 2 lovely little townships with nice eateries. Host was super obliging and the float tank is an experience not to be missed! Will definitely be heading back in the future!

AustraliaWow! Lovely location, beautiful setting, you could feel the love and care that has gone into creating this beautiful place. All our needs were met and I found the bed more comfortable than my own. The breakfast was pretty spectacular, setting us up for the rest of the day, which I appreciated after the long drive home. Thanks to the generous hospitality of Craig and his family, making us feel at home, we felt the place had worked some magic on us, and for that we feel truly grateful.

The place is like a peaceful oasis , surrounded by beautiful maintained tropical gardens which give you this feeling of peace and tranquility. The rooms are designed to compliment the surroundings of this amazing place. The hosts are a beautiful family that go above and beyond to make sure nothing is missed. When we left we could definitely say that we haven’t felt so relaxed and at peace in a long time. Thank you so much Craig and family for allowing us to enjoy your beautiful space and recharge ourselves with so much needed positive energy. We will definitely recommend this place to our family and friends.

Can we take our 1 year old to stay here ?Good question and we CAN cater for children and infants, but it depends upon the room, the time of year, other bookings and the kids involved. We stress that other guests and the environment not be impacted, but can manage it pretty easily often.Answered on March 15, 2022

We both still work educating and helping people (Craig is a positive psychology consultant, educator and coach and Molly a secondary teacher) on the Sunshine Coast. We are incredibly grateful and blessed for the opportunity to wake up in paradise daily and we love welcoming people into our retreat.
Property info
A slice of Bali on the Sunshine Coast, Alaya Escape offers a tranquil and beautiful Balinese-inspired and wellness-focused retreat. Equipped with floatation tanks, red cedar sauna, massage and personal development options, tropical gardens, bar and entertaining pavilions and 4 separate bungalows (all with spas and fireplaces) overlooking an oasis pool.
Options aplenty and guests' choose to have a sauna and pool plunge, followed by a float in our magnesium salt floatation tank and finish off with an-room massage. Alternatively, grab a cold drink and sit on the pool lounges or Bali huts next to the oasis pool and running water falls. Situated close to everywhere, with endless eating options and iconic Sunshine Coast experiences to venture out for.
We MAY accept children and pets at some stages throughout the year. Guests must contact owners and obtain permission prior / after booking as some rooms and times may preclude this being possible.

We are situated on top of the Blackhall mountains in the Sunshine Coast hinterland, 20 minutes to the famous beaches of Mooloolaba and Alexandra Headlands, the shopping at Sunshine Plaza and Ocean Street, villages such as Montville and Maleny and a 500 meter walk to the Chenrezig Buddhist Institute. Explore the mountain trails and take in all of the sites and senses of a mountain top rain forest using one of our 4 mountain bikes. Listen to the birds and enjoy the solitude of a beautiful and unique hideaway.
