We stayed in Sage Cottage with friends - mother and daughter in twin beds in one room, my husband and I in the Queen room along with 12 year old son on mattress which was set up specially. (Booking.com had advertised the cottage slept 5 instead of 4, after checking Amelina Cottages website we discovered it really on sleeps 4, when I queried with the owners, Sharen was very helpful and was able to set up the mattress which is perfectly suitable for children.) We all found the cottage clean, spacious and beautifully styled. The central location allowed us to easily walk to the shops and restaurants but despite this we found the location very nice and quiet, particularly at night. Lovely garden views plus a forest trail directly across the road to explore.

Marysville is a small village with heaps to do in the area. We have a beautiful 18 hole golf course, 25 minute drive up to Lake Mountain Alpine resort, Bruno Sculpture Garden and studio, Little Fishes Art Studio, Indi Art. We have an amazing children play ground, which even has a flying fox, stateboard ramps, Trout and salmon ponds, Marysville Information Centre, fantastic walks. You can download the Marysville app and the Steavenson Falls which is floodlit at night. Mountain bike tracks at Buxton and Marysville and some really nice cafe, restaurants and shops.
