Banksia Views Coastal Cottage is the perfect place for a romantic seaside getaway and is specially set-up for either the discerning couple or small family. ​ Located within easy walking distance to Shallow Inlet, the Sandy Point General Store, the licensed Surf Life Saving Club, and of course the BEACH! Your Sandy Point holiday begins the moment you arrive. A spacious timber veranda that's ideal for catching the afternoon sun leads you to the combined open living, dining and kitchen areas full of charm and colour. The large windows let in fresh sea air and natural light. Polished floorboards, bright rugs and furnishings combine to create a welcoming atmosphere. On a winter's evening the wood fire creates a warm and cozy feeling, whilst the distant sounds of the rolling surf lull you to sleep at night.
My Husband Dean and I loved Sandy Point from the first time we visited 20 years ago, so decided to build 2 cute cottages for holiday rentals so more people could stay and enjoy the area as much as we do. Sadly about 10 years ago we had to sell one of them and continue with only one cottage. Now, after a 3 year stint of letting the cottage out permanently, we have totally refurbished and are welcoming guests again. We hope you enjoy our little getaway as much as we do.
This township offers an outstanding patrolled surf beach, as well as excellent fishing and windsurfing in nearby Shallow Inlet. Other local highlights include historic Walkerville, the Cape Liptrap lighthouse, Agnes falls, and of course Wilsons Promontory National Park. Rosellas, koalas, possums and echidnas visit, and other wildlife may be seen in the surrounding bushland.
