This really is a home away from home. Such a cosy, comfy and inviting unit with lots of thoughtful touches. There's lots of space in this unit and it was much larger than we expected! We enjoyed our time - highly recommend this wonderful experience!!

Comfortable spacious, affordable accommodation in a great location. Everything you needed was there with some special touches, could of stayed longer. Amenities in the bathroom were extra special especially if you forgot your own. Loved that there was a courtyard too for younger children to be outside.

Location is in the heart of Barossa and about 300m away from Chateau Tanunda. As we walked in to this lovely unit, heater and a few lamps were on to welcome us. Entire place was very clean and well equipped with everything I needed. Bed and pillows were super comfy. Will definitely come back for next trip to Barossa ! Thank you Louise :)

Louise was a wonderful host - organised, very helpful and friendly! The unit size was much bigger that we expected and great to stay with our toddler. It was very well-equipped with everything we needed and more. We stayed in winter and it was cosy and warm :)

So clean and gorgeous decor- so many pieces of furniture I would have loved to take back home! I love that they have put plants in the rooms which makes it feel fresh and homely. The heater being on upon arrival was the perfect touch and a packet of family sized Tim Tams was a very welcome surprise.

Location was great an easy walk into main street of Tanunda. The unit was very comfortable for four adults. The welcoming Tim Tams and milk in the fridge awesome. Very clean could not fault. Highly recommend this accommodation.

The Basedow Units include a couple of two-bedroom units and a one-bedroom unit. The two-bedroom units can accommodate up to five people making them perfect for groups or families. The one-bedroom unit is well suited for solo travelers or couples looking for a weekend getaway. Alternatively, if you are thinking of doing a group trip you can book all three units. All three spaces are well-equipped and comfortable. We regularly receive positive comments about the spaciousness and cleanliness of our units. Just check out our reviews to see for yourself.
I have called the Barossa home for the last 40 years and absolutely love where I live. I purchased Basedow Units ten years ago with the aim of providing comfortable accommodation at a reasonable price to help others explore this beautiful region.
Named one of Australia's best wine regions, the Barossa offers plenty of opportunities to taste local produce and see the sights. Tanunda is well known for its many wineries and cellar doors which offer great wine and food, and you will find many of them only a short drive away from the units. At the end of Basedow road is the main street of Tanunda. If you take a nice stroll down the main street you will find many great cafes, restaurants, wine bars, antique stores, clothing boutiques and homeware shops. One of my favourite things to do when I travel is to go walking and explore nature. This is definitely something you should do while you’re in Tanunda. You can walk part of the Heysen trail, visit our sculpture park, or explore some of the quaint villages nearby, such as Bethany. These are just some of the great sites and experiences awaiting you in the Barossa. We hope you can come taste and see for yourselves! We can't wait to host you at Basedow Units.
