The cleanliness, quietness and peaceful scenery outside our bedroom. Loved the way the accommodation has been thoughtfully planned out to give us a super relaxing and comfortable break. Woke up to a hopping kangaroo and fox running across the big green field outside our bedroom one morning :)

We arrived a little early on Sunday and drove up and back in the street a bit, as there is no real sign stating Bed & Bauhaus on the outside. Once checked in, it was the most amazing stay, the 'room' is stunning, so quiet and the most stunning view.

  • Do you have a bath tub?
    No. While we appreciate some people enjoy a long soak in the bath, they are less eco-friendly than showers. This is a resource conscious property and to conserve water we have opted for spacious well-designed showers.

    Sorry no children - this property can accommodate people 18 years and over.

  • Would we be able to enquire about taxi locally for wedding transport.
    If the wedding organisers do not provide transport (many do), the closest taxi company is in Dunsborough. Advance bookings are made via their online service, and it would be advisable to book as far ahead as possible.

  • Good evening, My partner and I are hoping to book a room from the 4th to the 6th of February however I've noticed check in is in-between 2 and 6pm however we won't make it down from Perth until approx 7:30 - 8pm. Is this something that could be accommodated? Thank you :) Jenny

Bed + Bauhaus at Yallingup offers guests two well-designed and beautifully crafted suites finished in a contemporary Scandinavian design style that is refreshingly different; offering quality and value, space and simplicity. The suites are located in a separate wing of an architectural complex - a project 'Maison de Cour Yallingup - an Australian courtyard house'. This prototype building attracted the interest of Grand Designs Australia as the first WA project for the series, until the construction schedule extended beyond filming deadlines; the passive-solar construction ensures maximum thermal comfort, with double-glazing, cross-ventilation, superior insulation, ceiling fans and a/c. Material finishes (and cleaning supplies) are environmentally responsible and eco-friendly (e.g. VOC free), providing a hygenic, healthy indoor environment. The property has been designed to take advantage of the views looking west over Millbrook Valley towards Yallingup, with floor to ceiling glass opening onto a lawns both sides; on the west towards magnificent sunsets, and to the east side for sunrise.
Nicola is a UK trained design professional with experience in residential, commercial, environmental, health and tourism sectors, having worked on extended cross-cultural contracts in Africa, Europe, Central America and Asia. Graduating in design from Greenwich University in London, Nicola now has post-graduate qualifications from Curtin University in Perth, Western Australia, including entrepreneurship, innovation and global sustainability, and a PhD in co-design/architecture/interior design.
Yallingup is a special part of the Margaret River Region with a spectacular coastline and beautiful natural landscapes including the Leewin-Naturaliste National Park. Yallingup ('place of caves') is home to many premium wineries, the greatest number of galleries in the area, a huge variety of restaurants/cafes/bars, great surfing and swimming beaches, and a small friendly community of locals (of many species!).
