Love nature so enjoyed visiting MacKenzie Falls which has paths to viewing points for people of all abilities; even has a “resident” emu!
Plenty of places for hiking.
Halls Gap Zoo is a fabulous place to visit with so many birds and animals to see and interact with.
Good choice of places to eat - we particularly thought The Kookaburra Hotel and the Halls Gap Hotel Bistro were particularly good with great food, great service, great atmosphere and great staff. Avoid Halls Gap Tavern at all costs!
Plenty of accommodation options in most price ranges
(best to avoid Kookaburra Lodge Motel if you want value for money and want even the bare minimum of housekeeping!)
Basic shopping centre … but they DO have great ice cream and tasty fish and chips available there and a big playground for families with younger children.
Beware the kangaroos as you drive around, they are everywhere at any given time of the day.
Beautiful place to relax and enjoy.

Absolutely stunning, it had been years since i was there last and once again the friendliness of all the staff at the shops and attractions around could not be faulted.
Let alone the food options in and around Halls Gap - Barneys Barn - Pomonel Estate , Indian , boutique beers and ciders, there are so many , you will never go hungry.
The local Zoo is a highlight- go the extra mile and book a animal experience - Red Pandas are adorable.
Halls Gap is a gem of Victoria and is well worth the visit. There is something there for everyone, you can be as active or as relaxed as you prefer.

The Grampians National Park is excellent for walking and hiking at any time of the year. Halls Gap has a variety of accommodation types from camping to higher end. There are various places to eat, from usual so-so pub food to good quality food including vegan. We are at the Kookaburra which had excellent food (including vegetarian) served with delicious vegetables rather than chips and The Spirit of Punjabi which always serves excellent food (by robot now!). It also has a range of delicious vegan dishes. If you are into art and creativity check out Grampians Textures and Grampians Brushes - both are packed full of excellent workshops.

There are enough shops and bars for a short stay, and the location is excellent for exploring the trails in the area.
The tourist information centre was helpful but wasn't quite up to speed with some trail closures which appear.tto have been made some time ago.
Overall Halls Gap is a great place to stay for an adventure break.

I love the Grampians.
I love the Grampians. Lots of lovely walks and scenery and Halls Gap has great restaurants. Unfortunately the cultural centre is closed and sone of the galleries in the areas were not open . But the wineries are worth a visit and certainly the Hall’s Gap pub. Excellent chef with great food and views .

Halls Gap Zoo was excellent - casual and all the keepers were very friendly, informative and helpful.
The many local sights were amazing.
Beware! Most businesses close early - not easy to find food after 6 pm!
The boutique shopping area, although small, was excellent.
what did we like? everything! the cabins are amazing. we could have stayed there so much longer than the 2 nights we had. the overall design, fireplace, furniture, beds, outdoor spa bath, dvds, kitchen set up, views...you name it....it's perfect. Our host was generous with an upgrade too. this place is a winner. easy keyless entry...so close to halls gap and spectacular walks. we loved hiking knowing we were coming back in the afternoon to our spectacular lodge. we ended up cooking and staying in because the room was so nice!!
Gorgeous nature at your doorstep! Tranquil and quiet, the grounds were beautiful and relaxing, villa was lovely and relaxing with fantastic views! Absolutely lovely touch with the complimentary bottle of bubbly already chilled! Fresh bread and continetal breakfast assortment.. fireplace was warm, cosy and romantic. Looking forward to our next stay perhaps checking out another villa! Also, the sound of trickling water from the indoor stream was just amazing. Our favourite place to stay at halls gap.
We stayed 3 nights at breeze halls gap and we absolutely loved it. The beautiful mountains surrounding the park, atmosphere, lots of kangaroos and clean and tidy cabins. Location is best as it is 1min walk to hallsgap shops. Kids have so many open spaces inside the park. There is also halls gap swimming pool just across the park. We will surely come here again soon. Loved it!
House was great, bed very comfortable. lounge was comfortable. Kitchen had everything you need. Ceiling fans in all areas upstairs were well used. View was great.
Walking distance to town. Outdoor area was lovely. We love Halls Gap and have been a few times now. Enjoyed our stay and would stay again. Would love to stay in colder month as fire looked great also.
If you are looking for a luxury stay in the Grampians (Halls Gap) this is the place to stay. The location is perfect, both close to town but very secluded. Being fully equipped with kitchen and laundry facilities, you have the option of just staying put and looking after yourself for a few very relaxing days.
we loved the location and the animals the staff are fantastic, we had a spa family room and it was awesome, we will definitely be staying here when we visit again, also the pub and its meals were beautiful with fantastic staff and great selection of beverages after the hike.
Had a great time at Halls Gap Log Cabins.
The cabins were spacious, the kitchen was amazingly equipped and the cabin was meticoulously clean!
Also loved that the cabins are slightly away for the town, making the experience a bit more secluded.
The Halls Gap Motel is a great short term stay right in the middle of the Grampians. The owners are exceptionally nice and helpful. The rooms and grounds are really clean. We were able to sit out back and watch the kangaroos and enjoy the view.
Great time in this caravan park. A short walk away from the halls gap hotel. Very comfortable cabins and very warm. Fire pit outside was great to sit by in the evenings. Emus, kangaroos and deer all running through the open areas of the park.
The hosts were warm, welcoming, and ensured our stay was memorable. The cottage itself was clean, well-maintained, and exuded a cozy atmosphere that immediately made us feel at home. Fantastic location and just a short drive to Halls Gap.
This is an awesome place for a holiday with family. We enjoyed it very much. The recommendations we received from the owner Jenny were spot on and we had a great time at Halls Gap! Many thanks to Jenny for being very kind to us.
Quiet location short walk to eateries and hotels. Great views with added attraction of wildlife in the paddock at the rear of the property. Good. Air conditioner/heating options. Enjoyed the stay.
The lodge was well located in Halls Gap and the room was clean and, because we requested a twin room, we were given the family rooms. The beds were comfortable and the facilities all worked fine.
Excellent location
Super little terrace to sit out on
Extremely well equipped throughout
Excellent shower and option of luxury spa bath
Very comfortable bed
Great secluded private location, on the door steps of the Grampians. Close to nature!
Close to Halls Gap. Comfy bed, and great amenities. Easy to find.
