This is an absolutely great place to stay in Mallacoota - it's a few minutes drive from the centre of town in a tranquil location, but not too far from the amenities. The cottage had magnificent views from the deck (we were in Cottage no.1 - cottage 2 would also be good), offered good privacy, was spotlessly clean and equipped with everything you would need for a comfortable stay. Really loved the sitting on the deck every morning for breakfast looking out over the inlet and listening to the abundant bird life. We came to Mallacoota for a relaxing and low key holiday and this was just perfect.

Host Information
Bluewaters Cottages are situated in the beautiful Karbeethong area of Mallacoota and just a short drive around the Lake into the main town centre. Each cottage is a stand alone with a well equipped kitchen , 4 burner gas cooktop and grill, microwave, toaster and kettle. Cottage 1 has a full size gas stove. You can sit on your private covered verandah looking at the breathtaking views and hear nothing but the wide variety of birds and the wind rustling the leaves. If you prefer, you can sit inside on your comfortable leather lounge chairs and watch the flat screen TV, read a book or have a snooze. We use only quality linen and towels with extra pillows and blankets if needed. Tea, coffee and milk are complimentary as is shampoo, conditioner and soap. There are complimentary laundry facilities and an undercover barbecue area all set amongst beautiful native gardens. If you are really lucky you might even spot a koala having a sleep in the gum tree or the lyrebirds scratching around the garden.
Mallacoota is on the coast surrounded by Croajingalong national park with pristine beaches, fabulous lakes and rivers for fishing and water sports and miles of bush and coastal walks. We are privileged to have a healthy population of koalas as well as unsurpassed birdlife including lyrebirds. Take a trip to Gabo Island which has a large population of penguins and seals as well as the very tall Gabo Island lighthouse built from pink granite sourced on the island. But book ahead for this one. Hire a boat or take a leisurely trip around the bottom lake on the 100 year old wooden boat the ' Lochard '. Try a boat trip up the beautiful Genoa River on the Gypsy Princess and watch the sea eagle being fed. You will never be bored in this little piece of paradise.
