This is probably not important for other people but it was very important for me. GOOD LIGHTS. It was possible to read using the interior lights at night. WIFI was available throughout the complex not just in selected areas. The fridge had a small FREEZER. Geoff was very accommodating about supplying CROCKERY and CUTLERY. These little things made for a very pleasant few days.

Excellent place The manager/ caretaker was amazing from the moment I made the booking. Enlightened us with all the excellent places to go that only the locals know about. Rooms clean and a BBQ area made our stay less expensive. Can't recommend this place enough. We will be back

Rooms are newly renovated and extremely clean and comfortable. Good place to stop to get past the current roadworks south of Rockhampton. Bit of traffic noise at night but other features more than made up for that.

Great overnight stop for a trip from SE Qld to Central or Far North Qld. The motel is 'old school' with personal service from the friendly owners, immaculately clean and comfortable and great value. Nice touch was the rainwater in the kettle and jug in the fridge. Local pub is a 5 min walk away for a cool drink and good pub grub.

Nice refurbishment of older facility. Very clean and comfortable. Owners very friendly without being obtrusive. Bed was very comfortable.

We travelled from Bowen in the rain all the way and we were very tired, and it was late, when we got to Bororen. We were so thankful that the key for our room was under the mat. Our two little dogs were welcome, and apart from the road noise, which was expected, we had a great stay.

  • Hi, is there anywhere close to eat dinner on a Saturday night? We will be travelling with a 2yo.
    Hello, yes there is a hotel in the next block that serves meals from 6pm to 8pm. They also do meals as takeaways. Also the Caltex next to the hotel does nice burgers, fried chicken, salad wraps etc as well till 7pm. Plenty of food choices :)
