    Well behaved perfect dogs are allowed inside in the entrance & kitchen. Dogs are not allowed on the furniture.

When guests choose to stay at Buttons Cottage they are able to breathe some of the cleanest air in the world, relax in an elegant 1886 rural homestead and absorb the idyllic peaceful and private countryside. Guests are warmly welcomed, can enjoy being on a working Australian property, stroll through the garden, or take a picnic near the waterfall in the garden.
Alison grew up on the historic property Gaunts established in 1886 when Buttons Cottage was the first homestead built. Since 1946 the Miles family have owned the property and continue to have contact with the Gaunt and Thompson Stilwell families. We enjoy welcoming guests to Buttons Cottage for a private idyllic farmstay escape.
Buttons Cottage is 15 minutes drive to the Leven Canyon, 30 minutes to cafes, petrol and supermarkets, 60 minutes to Cradle Mountain, 60 minutes to Sheffield and 120 minutes to the historic village of Stanley.
