the church was restored beautifully, it was really cosy & the amenities were great, we had everything we needed and there were some really nice extra touches added by the hostess. Robertson is a great place the restaurants are great with the best food and good choices.

Josette has done an amazing job with the interiors. The church feels bright, comfortable, and modern, while still keeping the original features of the wood and the high ceilings to make it a truly unique property. This was a getaway where we were just as happy to stay in as we were to go out, because the accommodation was a destination in and of itself.

The host was so lovely, and said she was a commercial interior decorator, and it really shows. This place is a must if you are ever in the area.

A beautiful spot with a wonderful kitchen. Best stocked kitchen I’ve seen in a holiday rental including a cocktail shaker. Perfect location, very clean and soooo warm. Make sure you have a broccoli sandwich at Moonacres and dinner at the pub.

Every little detail was special, the artwork, the products in the bathroom, the hand picked flowers. An immaculate property. Lovely that they allowed dogs with a little fenced yard and special doggy blankets.

We were travelling to a wedding so the location was great for that. We didn't spend much time at the property but it was very well set up for longer stays. We only stayed 2 nights. I would advise anyone travelling in the evening to the property to leave early because the fog was quite thick late on Friday night. The property was easy to find though and close to the pub/inn and pizza restaurant. It was great to be able to take our old dog with us. There was a fenced garden for her to sniff around in although the weather meant that she had to stay indoors. We loved it.

Josette is a lovely host who came to greet us on arrival. The church conversion is quite unique and cosy and in a great location making it easy to walk to everything. The breakfast items left for us were great and bathroom products lovely.

    Hi Belinda, there are cafes, restaurants, galleries 3 waterfalls, small general store fruit & veg organic bread and pastries, &homemade Gelato.

    Hi yes it's 2 queen bedsit 2 seperate bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. master bedroom is upstairs with ensuite and walk in robe & 2nd bedroom downstairs with seperate bathroom.

    there are 2 steps to deck to front door and access from bedroom to bathroom is good but it's a narrow bathroom so wheel chair access is no good.

I purchased the church in March 2017 as an empty shell with the land a complete empty canvas. This was a perfect purchase for me with creating a respectful design renovations to the original church. Stage 1 of the renovations included my private residence in the original church hall at the back which was built in 1935, at the same time I renovated half of the original church built in 1895 into a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom accommodation and left the front of the church empty to decide how to best use the space. The BNB was very successful so I completed the second BNB at the front of the church in July 2019 having pushed creativity in design with Angel Place to make it unique.
My strong passion for art, design and food has shaped my life, with many years experience in hospitality owning restaurant & Hotel in Sydney and then becoming a commerical interior designer but through this busy life I always found time to produce art and continue now. I absolutely love hosting and try to greet guests so as I can share my local knowledge on best cafes, wineries, walks, waterfalls, galleries and shopping. I am very respectful of privacy with guests but am always available to make your stay memorable.
Robertson is the jewel and green heart of the highlands and the big spud, a small town with many artists as residents. With a general store, local fruit, veg and deli shop, Patisserie, butcher, organic bread,speciality sheep cheese shop, the cheese factory, Robbo pub and the famous Pizza in the Mist. The artist collective has just opened the SHAK with many artist / sculptures and workshops, working on site displaying their art. Moonacres organic cafe has won may awards including best Barrister in NSW for 2019 is also soon to open their cooking school at the SHAK. The tasteful highland beer is brewed in Robertson and a new whisky distillery Just down the road. Robertson is central to many historical villages, waterfalls and wineries and have no regrets every leaving Sydney.
