it was well equipped with all the modern conveniences one could want ,& in a beautiful single cottage surrounded by beautiful gardens and Private courtyard . we loved all the different locations for outdoor seating for couples . would definitely want to come back & stay again !:)

Loved the cottage and the location. Was very close to everything. Absolutely beautiful cottage and so many little spots to sit with a cuppa or wine and just enjoy the serenity. Loved, loved, loved it!! So many little extras that you would not expect, but was so nice to have. The juice, fresh fruit, coffee bags which is the only coffee I drink at home! Extra pantry items. So thoughtful. Spa was lovely and everything supplied.

I can do nothing but gush about this property. In a nutshell - perfect! When rating a property my husband has three specific needs - good firm bed - good heating/cooling - good shower with excellent water pressure Tick, tick, tick! My top three are - tastefully decorated - well appointed kitchen with more than just basic utensils - thoughtful extra touches Tick, tick, tick! The operators of this property have been really thought about what makes for an exceptional experience and then have gone above and beyond to make it perfect. Very private, yet still close to town.

Beyond gorgeous! This divine one bedroom cottage, encapsulates all that is Daylesford. Beautifully decorated, Cottage @ 4A welcomes you from the moment you walk in the door. Gorgeous views from each room, gas log fire to warm you, kitchen, large corner spa bath and queen size bed. Relax on front balcony with a glass of wine, sit in the back garden with your morning coffee and gaze into the natural wilderness.

Neighborhood info

The Daylesford-Hepburn Region is famous for its mineral waters and is known as the Spa Centre of Australia. Our beautiful scenery includes the famous Lake Daylesford, the Wombat Hill Botanic Gardens and the Wombat State Forest. There are historic buildings in the main street of Daylesford and the region’s history lies in the rush for gold. Lake Daylesford now covers land upon which gold was first discovered and offers lakeside picnic spots, cafes, walking tracks, fishing and pedal boating. The internationally known Lake House sits on its shores and there are public BBQ facilities and amenities adjacent to the main parking area. Lake Jubilee is located south of Daylesford (about a 10-15 minute drive) and is ideal for fishing, boating and swimming. If you are looking for a waterfall, visit Sailor’s Falls, less than 30 minutes south from the Daylesford Town Centre. If you are into the outdoors, Daylesford sits at the junction of three walking trails that are part of the Great Dividing Trail – the Lerderderg Track, the Dry Diggings Track and the Wallaby Track. The Hepburn Regional Park is a little less challenging and contains mineral springs and relics of the bygone gold era.
