Sean was a great host. The cabin was lovely and remote, but close to Cradle Mountain National Park and not too far from civilization. The cabin was set up with practically everything we could have needed. Hot & cold breakfast items, and a whole lot of extra treats we did not expect but were stoked to receive. Sean supplies Tassie products as much as he can, which is a bonus. It was a great base from which to explore Cradle Mountain and the north west coast of Tassie. Thanks Sean! PS: Did I mention the pademelons? We were able to see a number of them, including our very own afternoon visitor.

Property owner met me as I arrived and provided an overview of the cabin etc He was very welcoming and provided plenty of information about the facilities available. The fire place was ready to be lit and plenty of cut firewood available for my stay.

The owners went the extra mile with fresh fruit and breakfast being included. The cabin was homely, private and clean. The fire was a highlight and kept us warm through a couple of cold nights. Would definitely recommend this place to family and friends.

Amazing! This place is just wonderful. So well set up, a fantastic location (just 15 min from Cradle Mt NP) and so so relaxing. The minimum stay is 2 nights but definitely stay longer if you can. Pademelons and wallabies come to visit along with possums. We also saw an echidna right near the cabin. Inside you can enjoy games/puzzles/dvds or music in front of the fire. No internet or phone service makes it the perfect escape. The host is super hospitable and has all sorts of treats set up in the cabin. He also provides appropriate food so you can feed the wallabies and pademelons.

The shack met all our expectations. It was well-stocked, cosy, private, and most importantly it was NOT a resort-type experience. We had to light the wood burner and wash a few dishes, but so what? We were after a more authentic TAS wilderness experience - and we got it!

He provided food for breakfast as well as an introduction to the local wildlife. Easy to access from the main road and very close to the entrance to Cradle Mountain park so the perfect location for a holiday stay.

An amazing property, the photos on the website don't do it justice. From the outside the wooden hut looks well worn into the surrounding forrest, the inside however is beautifully kept with a thoughtful and spacious layout. It's set up with everything, and more, that you need for a relaxed and comfortable stay. The cabin is fairly remote and access to amenities is limited but the host compensates for that by stocking the place with more food, drink and tasty nibbles than you'll be able to consume within the number of days that you're there. There is a lack of phone/internet reception in the cabin but that all helps to digitally detox and truly relax into the stay. The local wildlife is plentiful and friendly!
