From the moment I booked and then had to change my booking dates, the service and communication was nothing but perfect! Friendly, prompt, professional ….to the point where the owner messaged me back whilst holidaying in another state! I travelled with my 16 year old son and could not fault ANYTHING. The food in the restaurant was mouth watering. The staff were all amazing; cheerful and accommodating...could not have been any more amazing. I'll definitely stay again.

Firstly, the staff were extremely welcoming on arrival. There was a nice cosy chilled out bar downstairs that had live music on the Sunday arvo. And the room was spotless with exceptionally soft and comfortable bedding. You can’t beat this stay for their price

Located harborside in the historical village of Carrington, a 10-minute drive from the center of Newcastle, The Criterion Hotel offers renovated pub-style accommodations.

The hotel offers twin and Queen rooms with shared bathroom facilities. Linen and towels are provided.

The Criterion Hotel bar offers a variety of boutique beers on tap as well as some traditional beers, wines, spirits, cocktails and beverages. Weekly activities consist of Tuesday Steak night, Wednesday Schnitzel night and Thursday night Trivia. There is also live music on Friday nights and Sunday afternoons.

The Chef and kitchen staff serve food from Tuesday-Sunday lunch and dinner, with some counter lunches available during week days only.
