We've stayed on Farm Stays before but nothing like this, it was a fantastic location with terrific accomodation facilities. Whilst its not a working farm as such it offers a lot or as little depending on what you feel like on the day.

Set in a beautiful backdrop of farmland, trees and view of the lakes. The accomodation was super comfy and homely with underfloor heating during winter! Tastefully appointed with personal finishing touches and everything you need including a full breakfast hamper. Both Debbie and Graham were just lovely and extremely helpful for things to do. Both are proud of their establishment as they should be. Fire-proof, self sustaining and off grid living in complete style. Impeccably designed. Just wish we’d stayed longer... We arrived after dark and it was difficult with GPS and patchy reception (country life). When we got lost though, we luckily managed a phone call in a good patch and Graham drove out to find us and pick us up! Nice to be greeted by a friendly face.

The property is beautiful, secluded, with stunning views of the lake and the countryside. We only met the host fleetingly on arrival, but she was lovely, very accommodating and eager to please. If you're after isolation and natural beauty, this is the ideal spot. No complaints.

from the moment you arrive , you we met by owner with keys and escorted you through unit and explained in detail where everything is. breakfast was supplied let me say bacon eggs ,cereal ,milk bread etc more than could ever want, best all the shower not one of those pissy little slow trickle of water , it was strong pressure and a good hot water system.

Unique! We were surrounded by acres of beautiful land. The view was breathtaking!! Easy drive to town for supplies. Our host was super friendly!! Loved it. Would love to stay again!!! Accommodation was just lovely. Really nice breakfast in the fridge for us along with everything else we could need!!!

  • Hi Is there a dirt road to the property, as I have an old classic car with low clearance , which may be a problem. Tony

We are located on a private 130 acre property just 10 minutes from the large town of Bairnsdale in the Gippsland Lakes and Wilderness region. The apartments have been built inside the earth and the roof is a garden. Very close by are the lakes, rivers, oceans and forests. Walk, hike, swim, cycle, go fishing, and see native birds and animals in their natural environment. Visit wineries, local markets or the nearby micro-brewery. Our location is central to all of this and its elevation offers some of the best views in the region. We have worked hard to create this very different and unique space, the only accommodation of its type in Australia. We are proud to be able to share this very special place with guests.
We have had careers in education and have followed our passion for sustainable living. Our buildings are unconventional and are almost hidden on this spectacular property. Following our passion for being different has allowed us to create something special, a surprise, that we now share with guests.
In escaping the publicity of destinations that have been promoted more, East Gippsland has quietly flown under the radar of many. This truly stunning Lakes and Wilderness region offers rivers, lakes and the ocean environments in addition to farmland and forests. From this location, visitors can explore all of this and more, including the high country of Omeo and beyond, the caves at Buchan and National Parks. Exploration and activity can be mixed with relaxation. Take some time to enjoy the best coffee shops, wineries, the micro-brewery and restaurants. There is no better place to see native birds and animals in their natural environment. This is a wonderful place for staying for a night if travelling between Sydney and Melbourne but in general, guests staying for one night are disappointed that they did not stay longer.
