Exeter Farm Stay was the perfect spot for my time in the Southern Highlands. It gave me the chance to breathe deeply crisp air while gazing over rolling hills. The views from the rooms were wonderful - watching sun and shadows over the hills was relaxing. The great bonus was the hidden cabin. It was a such a great thing to have a walk across the farm with an enticing destination. A wonderful place to sit with a cuppa watching wallabies and birds at sunset.

AustraliaWe had a fantastic stay at Exeter Farm Stay! The accommodation is extremely comfortable, with lovely linen, a wood-burning fire and it was spotlessly clean. When we arrived the heating was on and Jill and Ray were happy to show us around the farm and provided plenty of feed for us to feed the animals. All the animals are very used to humans being around and we all loved watching them and feeding them. The hidden cabin is very cute (and quite well hidden!) - we enjoyed walking there and having a late lunch with the beautiful view. We hope to visit again!

Jill and Ray are without a doubt the best hosts we’ve experienced. Jill bought us freshly made scones and homemade jam when we arrived and Ray kindly took our little trainee farm girl on two fabulous farm tours to meet and feed the animals and see the newly born lambs and calves. Super comfortable beds, a roaring fire on chilly nights, lots of thoughtful touches and fresh eggs and herbs straight from the garden. Only a 2 hour drive from Sydney, the Southern Highlands has a south of France vibe with lush rolling hills, quaint villages, and a surprising number of wineries and excellent restaurants. Thank you Jill and Ray for your exceptional hospitality, you have a truly spectacular property in a magnificent location and we’d love to come back again soon. Set on a 140 acre cattle grazing property, just outside the village of Exeter in the heart of the NSW Southern Highlands, our elegant farmhouse provides guests with a perfect country getaway just 90 minutes from Sydney and Canberra. Your self-contained accommodation has its own entrance & undercover parking. The apartment comprises living room with wood fire, kitchenette with microwave, breakfast/dining room, 2 bedrooms - queen bed in one and either a king or twin in the other; a large bathroom with heated towel rail & floor. You can enjoy any part of the property, from the landscaped gardens to exploring all of our 140 acres. Around 40 acres is native bush with various walks you can enjoy, depending on how energetic you are. A highlight is our small sunset cabin, hidden in a secluded valley, where you can enjoy afternoon tea or a sundowner. It's a great place to relax and commune with nature. Our working farm is home to 50 naturally small, friendly Dexter cows & calves, 15 Suffolk sheep, Angelique the alpaca, plus kangaroos, wombats, an echnida and fantastic birdlife.
We enjoy farming, gardening, sailing, skiing and adventure travelling when we're not at the farm. Your hosts are Jill and Ray.
Exeter Farm Stay is 3km from the delightful village of Exeter in true rural surroundings. Exeter is the home of the famous and excellent General Store, a great place for coffee or lunch; the Village Pump antiques and the Summerhouse homewares store. Morton National Park is close by and offers bush walking, and dirt roads for biking. Mountain biking is very popular in the area with numerous forest trails to explore. There is so much to do in the Southern Highlands - garden, music, food and wine festivals, village markets every weekend and quality wineries within easy reach.
