The location was great. The access to the centre of Wollongong was easy. If you don't want to use the hotel restaurant there are plenty of meal options close by with fast food outlets, and the local shopping centre all within walking distance. The room was large enough and it had a larger than normal LED tv in the room. I did not eat here but the food looked fantastic.

2 cockroaches in the room, it looked dingy and the bathroom (particularly the shower) was mouldy and grotty. We got a refund and camped for the night thanks to a 24h Kmart

Just to put things in perspective, when you book to stay here you are sleeping above a pub. It is an important consideration. The toilet was not completely clean. An attention to detail thing rather than poor cleanliness. I prefer a firm mattress and pillow but if you like medium to soft then the mattress/pillow is fine. The road noise was noticeable when the TV is off and of course so is the noise from the pub. If you have difficulty in shutting out background noise at night then you need to take this into account. If you are after a place to sleep after a long days travel then you may need to think about what is important to you. But if you are after a weekend away for a few drinks and a bit of fun I don't see why this establishment would not fit the bill.

I booked through booking.com so maybe this isn't the fault of the pubs own advertising but I booked a "budget double" and ended up with a bunk bed. The bunk bed itself, whilst comfy enough, was VERY rickety and swayed alarmingly every time we moved.
Overall the pub is lovely.

Our room was above the outdoor/verandah area where there was a function on plus the aircon units and exhaust fans from the kitchen were just near our windows. The result was a lot of noise and too smelly to have the windows open. The room is very basic.
The food is excellent, despite being very busy the kitchen staff managed to provide us with two delicious meals in good time. Hats off to them.

Could not get the fan to work - there was no remote for it and it was way to high on the wall to reach.

Everything was run down. TV and wall fan did not work. Incredibly noisy. Overun with cocroachers .

The bed was advertised as being twin- over 90cm, but was only a single. Questioned the girls, single rooms have single beds. Disappointed, wasn’t that comfortable for a larger man.
