Just an 8-minute walk from the river, the Margaret River Resort offers air-conditioned rooms with TV, a seasonal outdoor swimming pool and an on site pub serving meals and local wines.

Everything was lovely although there was a lot of 'hidden' noise continually as in scratching, scraping noises etc, and then on Wednesday evening, there was a band/singer. Although none of the songs was exceptionally loud, the noise of the band together with the singer had an overall volume that made the idea of sleep impossible. I was in room 1 and my friend in Room 2, and if you don't need to sleep before 11pm, no problem. In fact, if you don't want to do anything at all, TV etc, then it's also ok. You can't hear the TV over the downstairs entertainment.

Grape Juice Retreat Rustic romantic gateway 5mins to beaches & town in Margaret River provides adults-only accommodations with a garden and barbecue facilities.

Felt like we were in a remote area. But it was about 8 minutes to the beach and the same into Margaret River. It was also very close to some wineries.

We love Margaret River ! There is an eclectic mix shops and restaurants there to suit all! From the pub to a lovely Italian that only serves pasta dishes to Asian food, you’ll find something for all. The beaches are some of the best in the world. Safe for swimming and surfing is huge here. The winery’s are worth a visit too even if you don’t drink it !

It’s a beautiful town with shops, pubs and cafes, central to so many places. We had lunch at the stunning Aravina Estate on the balcony overlooking the beautiful gardens, green lawns and dam, we were made to feel very welcome. From there we went to Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse, even though it’s small it was worth seeing. The following day we went to The Berry farm and had yummy scones, jam and cream for morning tea and then wondered around the gorgeous gift shop and bought a few gifts and jams. Then we headed to Augusta to see the Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse where the two oceans meet, we then had a lovely lunch there of home made soup.

Margaret River township suffers a little from It's popularity. Whilst the town has everything you could wish for in a holiday destination - great food, side trips, wineries an more - parking is always an issue and restaurants need to be booked. It takes some of the spontaneity from a holiday. But otherwise, a great place to visit. Just try to avoid holiday periods if you can.

We went on a e-quadbike tour, can recommend that for sure. Did a winery tour also, also great fun. Visited the lighthouse, worthwhile. Grocery shops were nice and close and the restaurants we visited were fantastic. Make sure you buy some Gelato from the Gelato shop in town too ;)

The whole place had a wonderful, serene atmosphere. Our room was perfectly clean, and though not a huge room, it felt very spacious. We took advantage of the bbq area. I love how each room has its own little veranda set in the gardens. Steve is an excellent host! He is also environmentally conscious, which is great. The location is perfect. Next door is the Margaret River Brew House. It's a short walk into the centre of town. This is our second stay at Edge of the Forrest - it's a place you want to return to.
