The location of the house was perfect! We were a walk through the garden gate to the beach and a short drive to the gates of Freycinet National Park. The view - WOW!!! You literally stare at the Hazards and it is breathtaking. We specifically booked this accommodation based on the view and I can assure you, it did not let us down. We had a full sized kitchen which was well stocked with basic cookware and utensils. The beds weren't too bad to sleep on for a couple of nights. The shower was a dream, the water pressure was fantastic. There was a baby gate in the shed which came in handy for us travelling with a toddler who we wanted to keep well away from the steep staircase!

The view was just AMAZING! Truly beautiful. Don’t think I’ve ever stayed somewhere with such a lovely view. The sun comes in through the lounge windows in the morning, warming it right up. Shower was also great!!

Excellent location, so close to the beach and beautiful view of the Hazards. Great set up for 2 families of 4. There was no wood left on site for the wood fire, but once the accommodation managers were notified, the wood was delivered within 15 minutes. Will definitely consider staying here again.

With unbeatable location and views, Freycinet’s Beachfront Retreat offers the perfect location in Coles Bay and base from which to explore Freycinet National Park. Set on the waterfront with direct beach access you can relax and enjoy 180 degree views of the spectacular Hazards mountain range and Great Oyster Bay. THE LOCATION: This is unbeatable! From the back gate at the waterfront side of the property, you are a two minute walk from the secluded Richardson’s Beach set in the world renowned Freycinet National Park. This is a fabulous swimming beach perfect for families. In the other direction, a 5 minute walk takes you to an excellent, well stocked supermarket, a post office and a wood-fire pizza restaurant and cafe. The beach house is light and spacious with high cathedral wooden ceilings over an open planned living area where you can enjoy the spectacular views of the sea and Hazards mountain range. Whilst it has been modernised and updated with flair it maintains the relaxed, beach holiday atmosphere of the original 60s shack. There are many attractions here in A modern, fully equipped kitchen.

In the Freycinet National Park you have the famous Wineglass Bay and the lighthouse, you can get information & maps on the walks and hikes in this region from the National Park office here in Coles Bay. There are also experiences such as: A unique and reputable food & wine tour called The Long Lunch Tour Co. Wineglass Bay Cruises where you can view Wineglass Bay via a cruise. 4WD bike tours with All4Adventures. Kayak Tours with Freycinet Adventures. Scenic flights with Freycinet Air. The Freycinet Marine Farm where you can sample local oysters and scallops A restaurant/ cafe "Geographe". There are also wineries in the area & Tombolo woodfire pizza's at Devils Corner. There are lots of stunning beaches for swimming and fishing and a golf course. There are also many attractions in the next town of Bicheno (only 25 minutes away), where you can go on a night time Penguin Tours and see Tasmanian Devils at Nature World.
