Karina and her family moved to this piece of paradise in 2015 and loves sharing the two beautiful and separate farm houses with local and overseas guests for holiday and short stay rentals. Located in the magnificent Yarra Valley only an hour out of Melbourne, surrounded by myriad wineries, restaurants and mountains vistas, the property continues to flourish with plantings of native trees, heaps of herbs, forty citrus trees, apples, quinces, peaches, nectarines, almonds & figs. The huge Kitchen Garden is literally a growing project with rabbit proof fences on the beds, a pergola & paths with guests free to collect fresh vegies, herbs, fruit and eggs from the chickens & ducks or wander the property to say hello to the sheep, cows and alpaca. When the weather is fine there are countless places to secrete yourself; in a deckchair to take in the fresh air and mountain views, or sit on the veranda in the afternoon with a wine. In winter, stoke up the wood fire and cosy up on the couch with the weekend papers, some music and watch the clouds roll over the mountains

The Yarra Valley is approximately a one hour drive north-east of Melbourne. Home to more than 80 wineries, ranging from small, family-owned operations to large estates, the region is renowned for producing Australia's finest pinot noir and sparkling wine, along with a range of other cool-climate wines. The region is also known for its fresh produce including freshwater salmon and trout, organically grown fruit and vegetables and handmade cheeses and preserves. Follow one of the many self-drive wine trails and fill your picnic hamper on the Yarra Valley Food Trail or at the many huge, fresh food markets. At Healesville Sanctuary you can see the largest collection of Australian native wildlife, including spectacular birds of prey, dingoes, koalas, kangaroos and wombats. Take a drive through the Black Spur to the charming village of Marysville. Enjoy nature in the Yarra Ranges National Park, Toolangi State Forest or Kinglake National Park. Hear the bell birds or spot a lyrebird in the lush green fern gullies and misty mountain ash forests of Dandenong Ranges National Park.
