The provided breakfast for the first morning was great. Eggs, yoghurt, bread, marmalade, honey, butter, milk and orange juice etc. Very much appreciated. The cottage was nice and comfy. The host very friendly. The cottage is only a 10 minutes drive from Porongurup national park trails. We loved the boardgames that were available in the cottage.

We loved our stay at Jilba. Joan and Jim were very friendly and informative- gave us heaps of information about local walks and wineries. The farm stay accommodation was perfect with views as far as Albany, comfortable bed with electric blanket and a wonderful assortment of snacks for breakfast. It was just what we needed and we can’t wait to go back.

Jilba is a very well equipped and comfortable place to stay. So peaceful, lovely gardens and backs on to Porongurup national park. Joan is very friendly, welcoming and has a wealth of knowledge about the area and surrounds. Yummy breakfast supply's that lasted more than the 1st day. Joan and Jim invite you to relax and enjoy a welcome break in their two bedroom, fully self contained Jilba Cottage. The unit is accessed by stairs to a wide deck, overlooking some stunning views. Situated in the heart of the Great Southern region of Western Australia, 400km south east of Perth and 43km north of Albany, 'Jilba' is a 77ha. cattle, avocado and table olive property, on the southern slopes of the ancient Porongurup Range. It is also within easy driving distance of the Stirling Ranges, Mount Barker and Albany, with the many attractions in Denmark and Walpole as options for day trips. Enjoy peace, tranquillity and fresh country air, with panoramic views over our gardens and olive grove, across rolling farmland to Albany and the South Coast. Relax with a BBQ, whilst enjoying one of the region's many superb, award winning wines. Take a stroll through our beautiful gardens or up into the National Park, which backs onto the cottage. Revel in the magnificent sunsets and the sight of kangaroos coming out to graze at dusk.
For nature enthusiasts, wildflower and bird lovers, climbers, bushwalkers and lovers of fine foods and wines, 'Jilba' offers an ideal central point to relax and enjoy your exploration of everything the magical Great Southern Region of Western Australia has to offer.
