Everything. The view, the hospitality, the nature, the amenities, the food, the welcome pack. We decided to take on some of the food pack options, being that we didn’t know the area we just thought it would be smart to be prepared and glad we did. The food packs were absolutely delicious and great value for money. Plenty of food and everything was fresh and tasty. Unfortunately due to COVID some of the restaurants aren’t open but this allowed us to still keep our money local.

The owners have created a little slice of heaven in tranquil surroundings with an eclectic feel and many little unexpected extras. Nothing is too much trouble, they respect the need for privacy whilst ensuring nothing is forgotten. The location is close to local towns and tourist spots if desired and perfect for peaceful seclusion as well. Casey's massage skills are exceptional, especially when followed by a relaxing bath in the outdoor tub.

Let us welcome you to our peaceful, private, nature-lover's eco-retreat. Our 27-acre property is located at the end of a quiet raised valley and provides the perfect private getaway while still being only 5 minutes outside the thriving hinterland community of Cooroy. Karmya Cabin is a spacious, self-contained studio and has a gentle, relaxing ambience - perfect for couples. Cook in the fully equipped kitchen or on the deck with the mini BBQ and take in the spectacular views and birdsong. Take a relaxing outdoor bath with amazing views of Mt Cooroy or stars or just snuggle up by the fire on cold nights after enjoying an onsite massage from your fully qualified host. Due to it's prime location, you will still be close to popular tourist destinations such as the Noosa Botanic Gardens, the Eumundi Markets, Gympie Terrace and Noosa Heads. The studio itself is situated on a our magical ridge haven, where you will reside among the old-growth eucalyptus forest, regenerating rainforest and its inhabitants. There are spectacular views every way you look, including the most prominent view of Mt. Cooroy (as pictured). NB: 4WD/AWD vehicle required to reach cabin - transport can be arranged.
We absolutely LOVE sharing our magical property with others. We know what it's like when you haven't had a moment to yourself in what feels like (or may actually be) years, and we have put all of our heart and soul into Karmya Cabin to help make it the perfect getaway. Our intention is for the space to facilitate reconnection, rejuvenation and relaxation. We always try to leave a light footprint on the Earth and Karmya Cabin is no exception. Approximately 95% of all items you will find in and around the place have been sourced from second-hand retailers or made from recycled and/or eco-friendly materials. The electricity is sourced from solar panels on the shed, water is pure rainwater collected from the shed roof (drinking water filtration provided) and septic is bio-cycle, processed onsite. We are passionate about nature and our property is currently in various stages of revegetation - you are more than welcome to walk along the ridge and explore! Casey is fully qualified to provide you with an integrated whole body massage onsite in the Healing Hut outside your accommodation guests receive discounted rates. The Hut is for the exclusive treatment of Karmya Cabin guests. Enquire!
Karmya Cabin is a 5 minute drive Cooroy where you will find eateries, coffee shops, an award winning IGA supermarket, the old Butter Factory (now an art gallery and gift store), op-shops, historic walking trails and one of the Noosa Botanic Gardens. It’s a 10 minute drive to the world famous Eumundi markets which are held Wednesdays and Saturdays. Noosaville and it's riverside restaurants and shops are only 15-20 minutes, with Noosa Heads only 5-10 minutes further. Pomona, to our north (where King of the Mountain is held each year) and Cooran are also worth exploring. The hinterland towns of Maleny, Montville and Mapleton, with their spectacular forests, hikes and waterfalls as well as artsy and beautiful towns/restaurants are only 45 minutes away. We have plenty of recommendations and will leave a Guest Folder on the coffee table for your perusal (that is, if you want to leave at all!). Of course you can also just ask us - we're happy to share!
