Lagoon Pocket B&B is a rural property of just under 12 acres about 10 minutes drive from the old gold mining town of Gympie. We run some cattle, well pet cows really who keep the grass down, have a few chooks as one does in the country and have one very handsome Rough Collie dog, Danny to keep everyone in check. Our property was once Lagoon Pocket School, the old school building is long gone, but we live in the original school master's house. In the B&B rooms we have a collection of old photos of the school for anyone keen on history. Wallabies and possums are frequent guests and just occasionally koalas share the property with us. Black and Sulphur Crested Cockatoos, Pale Headed Rosellas, King Parrots, Galahs, Corellas and of course Kookaburras all visit the property depending on what trees are in bloom or fruiting. We are lucky enough to have inherited some wonderful trees at Lagoon Pocket, Jacarandas and Poincianas are our speciality. We adore bromeliads and we are building up quite a collection. We are gradually working on having more garden beds than lawn to mow! As you can tell we love our property and enjoy nothing more than sharing it with our guests!
