Facilities were lovely and clean and views amazing

The location was excellent and we cooked on the BBQ in the camp kitchen on the 1st night. On arrival we found tea making facilities. As we had sampled the local bakery, we ate fresh buns with our coffees on the front porch. After a good night sleep we had coffees at Freshies Café nearby. That evening was schnitzel or coorong mullet night at Freshies.

    Not a beach as such but the lake at park has a safe spot at unpowered camping end for swimming, etc (subject to weather).

    yes each cabin has parking for one car only close to door.

    Linen is supplied in all cabins listed, only our unlisted budget egret is BYO linen. We offer the 7th night free.

  • Can you fish for mullet on the shores of the lake or do you need a boat? Is April a good time for fishing?
    Mullet can only be caught in the Coorong, the lake has only carp. You can catch carp off the banks. We recommend booking a lakefront powered site. In April you can catch carp while lake's water is still warm.

We are located right on the banks of Lake Albert which is a fresh water lake that is feed from the Murray River. The town of Meningie is well serviced with its own hospital, chemist, police station and a variety of shops not far away from caravan pk.
We took over ownership of caravan park in October 2011 after many years of travelling and staying at other caravan parks in either tents, caravans and cabins giving us an insight of what we would like in caravan parks as a guest.
Meningie is located on the shores of the picture perfect fresh water lake of Lake Albert which is ideal for all water-sports, such as swimming, fishing for carp,kayaking (bring your own), water-skiing, sailing,etc. Across the road from the caravan park is the Meningie Museum and adjoining old Cheese Factory restaurant. Meningie is only a short 10 km drive away from the Coorong National Park. For bird watchers Meningie and surrounding areas have an abundance of birdlife.
