We loved everything, the cabins were clean and well equipped. The location is 30-45 mins to Tin Can Bay and Rainbow Beach. The kids loved the pigs, sheep and Cows. Beautiful property, fishing in the day and fires at night. Bryan is a loveable character. Will definitely return.

We had the most wonderful weekend staying in cottage #6. The kids fed the pigs every day and patted the friendly sheep and dog. We spent many hours in the pool, just relaxing and also managed a couple of Barra on the lake from the kayak, although be warned that they aren’t easy game and almost impossible to land from the shore. All in all, Brian was an amazing host and we thoroughly enjoyed our weekend away at Lake Barra Cottages. 🙂

The location, scenery, the sunset are just awesome, you can walk down to the lake (the kids did) we caught sight of wild rabbits racing through the mango orchards, had a few mangoes too (shhhhh). Swam the whole day while enjoying meals on the veranda of our spacious air conditioned cabin just a stone throw away from the pool. . .a perfect place to unplug.....did I mention it felt like glamping on a budget? Well worth the money 👌

Lake Barra Cottages is an idyllic 240 acre property with 40 acres of fruit trees, 2 large lakes and numerous small dams. Fish in the lakes for Barra, Jew or Bass for keen fishermen. (CATCH AND RELEASE ONLY) Lots to see and do in the area. Six 2 bedroom self contained Cottages, outdoor pool and spa. Watch the spectacular sunsets from the deck of your cottage. Local country pub has entertainment and great meals. Kangaroos roam the grounds every day. The most relaxing country experience you'll probably ever have and great for children.
Local Markets, 10 min drive to local restaurant, 30 mins to Gympie and Tin Can Bay and 40 mins to Rainbow Beach.
