  • HI - with all the things around Corona Virus if interstate travel from Victoria is banned what is your cancellation policy? Thanks
    The booking agent is offering full refunds due to the impact of COVID-19. Obviously we'd appreciate as much notice as possible when you cancel but we understand the situation. Cheers Wendy

    Hi Marie & Jake, yes you can! We are dog friendly, just keep the front driveway gates shut and the front pedestrian gate shut once you arrive to keep the property secure. Best regards, Wendy.

    Hi, booking.com process your payment using the credit card you supply, this usually happens on your arrival day but check your booking confirmation as there are also options to pay at time of booking.

  • Is there a place to park a boat?
    The driveway fits 2 cars one behind the other so you could reverse in and then unhook the boat. Otherwise the street right in front of the house is an option, there are no parking meters and usually its easy parking. Hope this helps.

Magpie House is a beautifully appointed home just metres from the main street of Tanunda, location does not get better than this! Take advantage of our free private parking and step out the front gate into the town centre. Surrounded by some of the finest restaurants, bars, cafes and shopping experiences the Barossa Valley has to offer, you will enjoy exploring this charming region right on your door step. The house is set amongst a quaint cottage garden and is ideal for couples, a family or a group of friends seeking a self contained home away from home. With two Queen bedrooms and two Single rooms we are able to offer stylish and thoughtfully furnished accommodation for everyone. Please be aware that we do lock off bedrooms depending on how many people you book for. The house features two living areas, with a formal lounge situated at the front of the building and an open plan living and dining at the rear. The well equipped kitchen flows into the dining area and over looks the leafy garden setting of this charming home. Enjoy short or long stays in the heart of Tanunda at gorgeous Magpie House.
We are a fifth generation Barossa family and are excited to share our beautiful region with all it has to offer! We pride ourselves on providing a stylish, modern and clean home for our guests to enjoy throughout their stay. We hope you love Magpie House and the township of Tanunda as much as we do. Magpie House is situated on the apex of three roads; the Tanunda main street (Murray Street), Elizabeth Street (leads to the Tanunda Oval) and Bilyara Road (leads past the Oval to Langmeil Road and local wineries). It is a delightful neighbourhood in Tanunda's dress circle location, surrounded by quality homes and leafy, well-established trees. Tanunda's Rotunda Park is right next door to the house, for guests who may desire a casual picnic or simply wish to relax within this gorgeous lush garden setting. We're positioned just behind 1918 Bar & Grill and across the road from Fermentasian and the famous Apex Bakery. Stepping out the front gate of the property you will be metres from the Main Street where you will find our local Tourism and Visitor Centre, cafes and everyday conveniences such as Foodland and Priceline Pharmacy. This is a great location for those who want to be walking distance to all that the beautiful township of Tanunda has to offer!
