We definitely enjoyed our stay at Minyirr retreat. The place was beautiful and we enjoyed the outdoor living space, unusual art works and decor. We really enjoyed having Lucy (friendly dog) visiting us and keep a keen eyes on us. We also enjoyed chatting with our hosts, who are friendly and helpful. Definitely we were return to the retreat in the future.

A hook or chair would be helpful in the bathroom to put your clothes on whilst showering. Sinks could do with a little scrub around the drainage hole...but I dont know if the water stains?

A lovely spacious and quiet outdoor living area (reminded us of Bali). It was 35 degrees most days but both the bedroom and outdoor area was cool. Hosts were nice and gave you privacy. You felt at home.

  • Good day, is this accomodation completely private from the main house and only available for one couple?
    The property is a 2 levels. Minyirr Retreat is downstairs. While there is only 1 access to the property through the main gate, Minyirr Retreat has a seperate access to upstairs. Its has its own ensuite, kitchen and living area that is not shared.

  • Just wanting to know if you are a bit flexible with your pet policy. As we have a beautiful border collie/lab cross that comes everywhere with us who is a well socialised obedient little girl. Prepared to pay a pet bond
    No I'm sorry, we have a dog Lily on the property and an additional dog would cause problems.

Our place is close to world famous Cable Beach. Just a 5 minute walk down the street and through the sand dunes and you are on a beautifully secluded part of the beach. You’ll love our archetually designed contemorary Queenslander style property. You'll have a spacious master bedroom that features Kimberley art. You'll have access to your own spacious alfresco living area and kitchen. There is a poolside gazebo that you are welcome to use but might be sharing with us. Our place is good for all travellers. Our friendly dog Lily, will give you a warm welcome.
We are a young at heart couple who love to travel. We love eating out or at home with friends and we love sharing this special part of the world with visitors. We both work in the travel industry in the Kimberley and can help you plan and book Broome and Kimberley travel or tours. We've lived in Broome for 25 years and can give you the best tips on local dining, culture, fishing and other things to do.
Our place is close to world famous Cable Beach. Just a 5 minute walk down the street and through the sand dunes and you are on a beautifully secluded part of the beach. The suburb is officially named Janaburu Six Seasons Estate. Named after the 6 seasons of the Yawuru calendar. The area is renowned for the interesting range of architecturally designed homes. Its an easy 5 minute walk through Minyirr Park and on to world famous Cable Beach. We are an equal distance to both of the main cafe/bar precincts of Broome. We're not close to public transport but nothing is far in Broome as we are on a peninsula. Its a 10 to 15 minute walk to the bus stop. We can assist you with hiring motor vehicles, scooters, bicycles, pedicabs or any other mode of transport you may require.
