The views, the legitimate country farm feel and the background story about the farmstead and Norm n Nita. We all commented that the beds and linen were the most comfortable we had ever experienced. The supplies and breakfast food was also excellent

Experience the authentic Barossan lifestyle. Nestled within one of the Barossa Valley’s original family-owned properties, Norm’s Farm boasts the first German settlement in the Barossa known as Hoffnungsthal. Your host, Billie-Jo Kies, is 6th generation on the estate! Immerse yourself in the warmth and serenity that define this historic locale. Norm’s Farm, standing for over a century, epitomises not just a dwelling, but a true home. Norm and Nita Kies built a practical and welcoming abode with an unmistakable homely vibe. Fondly referred to as ‘the farm’ by the family, this picturesque estate sprawls across 400 acres. The Estate proudly features 140-year-old Shiraz grapes, supplying the renowned Penfolds brand and holding certification as a member of Sustainable Wine Growing Australia. In addition to its prestigious vineyards, the Estate cultivates cereal crops, maintains a herd of around 50 beef breeding cattle, and hosts the Barossa’s only Rodeo during the summer months of each year, organized by Bridgette Hasting (Billie’s sister). It’s also home to Barossa Helicopters, the family business founded in 1989 by Peter ‘Goose’ and Sandra Kies (Billie’s parents).

Norm's Farm is just next door to Barossa Helicopters, where the adventure begins! Take your pick from a range of tours and experiences, from quick flights to full-day adventures. And the best part? You’ll be picked up and dropped off right at the back door of Norm's! Just up the road, you'll find the Lavender Farm—treat yourself to lavender-infused liquor or ice cream, and explore their delightful shop packed with lavender products. In Lyndoch, you'll discover everything you need—from gourmet produce to fantastic wines and coffee. Indulge in the delicious offerings at the Lyndoch butcher or local IGA, and don’t miss Kies Family Wines for unforgettable winery experiences and amazing wines. For a great coffee or breakfast, stop by Table Café, or enjoy a delicious dinner at The Lord Lynedoch Restaurant. The Barossa Valley has it all, and it's all right at your doorstep!
