I was there for the Woodend Winter Arts Festival - I performed in the Choral Marathon, and decided to stay for the weekend and check out the other events. This is a wonderful festival with concerts by world-class musicians, and thought-provoking 'words and ideas' events featuring well-known writers and commentators, as well as public events that made the most of Woodend's streetscape and outdoor spaces. My only regret about the High St Festa is that, since I had performance commitments, I didn't get the chance to explore enough of what was on offer. Could do with fans, or air conditioning, Gardens need a bit of maintenance, and cover on roof of pergola would be really great..but overall had a nice farmhouse cottage feel, very clean and tidy inside cottage.

Cosy, clean, contemporary and comfortable property. The fireplace and heated floors made it a perfect winter getaway. We befriended a cat that lived nearby and also saw kangaroos. Complimentary snacks and drinks added a sense of luxury. 40 min walk from train station as we didn’t bring the car. Would definitely stay again!JenniferJapan - 10Scored 10

Sweet little town with great cosy atmosphere, great cafe's and Pubs, very friendly and easy going locals. Many beautiful walks in surrounding Macedon ranges, rock climbing even for kids, visit local markets while you are there and check out every brick'a brack for bargains.Karina
