Our quaint little cottage was built as a haberdashery store many years ago but it's delightful feel and prime location make it the perfect place to absorb and enjoy Strahan. It's a gorgeous little cottage with all your needs. The kitchenette is suitable for light meals such as breakfast and lunch preparation. The main bed is located adjacent and open to the living area makes our little cottage feel even more cosy. Olivia's is directly opposite Strahan's iconic heritage-listed Union Steamship Building whereby travellers past would book their steamship passages for personal travel and business freight to Melbourne, Sydney, Hobart & the world. The view of this beautiful old building from Olivia's is a sight to see especially after you've spent a lovely day cruising up the Gordon River into the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Listed Area. After a lovely dinner at either Hamers Hotel, Risby Cove, Franklin Manor, View 42 or take away fish and chips from the Westerly Seafoods van, sit with your feet up, a whisky or hot chocolate in hand and dream about times past in this special Tasmanian heritage village with its captivating and at times controversial history.
Welcome to Olivia's Cottage Strahan, our harbourside retreat. We hope you will be as captivated by the West Coast of Tasmania as we were when we first visited. We loved it so much we invested! We plan to spend a lot more time in Strahan and on the West Coast of Tasmania because it resets our souls but for now we are thrilled to share our gorgeous little cottage with guests. Enjoy and do not hesitate to contact me if issues arise.
