It feels like home, though different and interesting at the same time. There is plenty of room, even enough for a formal dining room. The hosts are attentive and friendly, but without being intrusive. Great experience we'll go back whenever we visit the Bellarine area.

A beautiful window into the history of The Vicarage but with all modern conveniences. Daryl is a wonderful host and attention to detail is amazing. Beautiful artwork is a delight, a very comfortable bed and quality linen is another plus. A lovely cheese platter was ready on our arrival and the breakfast spread was delicious. We had complete privacy during our stay. This would have to be one of the very best B&Bs we have stayed in.

Nice big room, lovely bathroom, the little touches like floss, make up remover etc etc. Lovely welcome. Quiet. Plenty of private space.

Cosy, clean and very comfortable. Excellent hosts. Breakfast was delicious. Perfect location. It ticked all the boxes for us!

Excellent breakfast, Daryl accommodated all requests. Great variety of tea and coffee. Place is clean and has everything you need. Excellent attention to details. House has his own character, thanks to the owners. Location is good as well.

Portarlington Vicarage is a gorgeous Federation home right in a central location of Portarlington. It is just a very short walk to shops and cafes and the pier. The home has views of the bay and is a most restful place to stay. Beautiful breakfasts are provided each day. Highly recommended. The beauty of the old home, the views, location and thoughtful hosts who provide everything you could wish for in a bnb.

The breakfast was delicious. Convenient location. Attention to detail, excellent. Beautiful and clean.

The Vicarage is a lovely spot for a weekend in Portarlington. Its location is superb. A short walk from the main street with its restaurants, pub and fish and chip shops, and from the pier area which is a great spot to relax and look out to sea. The Vicarage itself is all oldly worldly charm, comfy bed, inviting living room with all kinds of nick nacks that make a place warm and comfy. Breakfast is excellent - everything you could need to start the day. Highly recommended.

Daryl and Annalene were exceptional hosts! They provided healthy and generous breakfasts for us (even a cheese platter when we arrived!). They ensured our needs were met. We were very impressed with their hospitality - Daryl picked us up at the ferry terminal and even offered to give us a ride to a winery if we could not book a taxi. They use high quality linens and toiletries. The house smells lovely too - good use of diffuser! We loved the location of the house - 2 minutes walk to the town center and 5 mins to the beach. Perfect stay and we would love to go back!

Everything was fantastic! We had the lounge area for ourselves, the place was clean and the breakfast was excellent! It just shows how much thoughts the hosts has put in to make the guests' stay comfortable. We love the location of the Vicarage too. As we are not driving, the location is very accessible to the main street of the town so we could walk to the restaurant or the beach within 5 minutes from the accommodation.

Daryl and Annalene Gray - Your Hosts
This magnificent late Victorian home, built in 1888, was once residence for the local St John's Anglican Church Minister. It comprises many of its original features including; very large double rooms with sea view, beautiful stain glass windows, Baltic pine lined walls and ceilings, along with polished floor boards. The decore and drapes have been mostly kept to its period to complete its ambiance and character. A short walk to all shops, cafes, restaurants and the beach. There are also many surrounding wineries, walk/bike tracks, art galleries and plenty of sight seeing. We will be more than happy to give you information and directions to the plethora of events and sites that Portarlington and the surrounding Bellarine districts have to offer.
We purchased the property in 2014 whilst working in the remote Kimberley's WA. Our plans have always been to host this beautiful establishment as a Bed and Breakfast accommodation. We have now returned home to complete this wonderful dream and subtly share our hospitality whilst helping you enjoy your stay by making you feel as comfortable as possible.
Portarlington Vicarage is set in a friendly, quiet local neighborhood, a street behind the shopping vicinity. You will be welcome to park in the driveway. The area is reasonably well lit with street lighting and numbers are displayed clearly on houses.
