An amazing private and secluded farm retreat only 7 minutes from Narrabri or 50 minutes from Gunnedah NSW. Unique accommodation with comfortable and clean rooms positioned on the beautiful Namoi River. Only 30 minutes drive to the base of the Kaputar National Park. Natural pastures, bushland and water are abundant with visiting birds, wildlife, farm animals, along with a variety of secluded fishing locations Great for a weekend getaway or longer stays available on inquiry. Once you travel down the driveway you enter another world, offering full security and limited access. Wheelchair ramp available, plenty of parking and small pet stays negotiable at time of booking. Telstra 3G network available on location Also, small events hire available, groups of up to 12(small) to 26(larger event) Other facilities (kayaks, push bikes, fishing) and other items for hire on request.
We are just country people that like to meet new people and travel when we can. Both have professional backgrounds, but we love our farm, breeding horses, motor bike & push bike riding and love good healthy food. We enjoy a nice glass of wine when sitting on the deck or going for a river cruise. We love outdoor activities and are always inventing new things around our farm. We are hard working, honest individuals that enjoy the simple pleasures in life.
There is lots to see and do in and around Narrabri. Bush walking in the Kaputar National Park, or kayaking along the Namoi River. There is lots of places to ride a push bike, even into town (13kms) to have lunch or a coffee. Visit the Pilliga Pottery or the natural spring bore baths. Narrabri Aquatic Centre also has heated pools and is all undercover. The Australian Telescope is open daily and only 25kms west of Narrabri. If you wish to watch a movie or see a visiting show or concert the Crossing Theatre is a must. Artist like Keith Urban and Jimmy Barnes have entertained in Narrabri. Plenty of local shops, restaurants or cafes and even some country pubs. Narrabri is located half way between Brisbane and Sydney. Riverside Farm Retreat is only 1.45 min to Tamworth, 50 minutes from Gunnedah and 2 hours 45 minutes from Dubbo. A great location to stop revive & relax before you recommence your journey. This is mainly an adult retreat, not suitable for young children due to the close proximity to the Namoi River. Small, controlled and well behaved pets are welcome on enquiry. We have no close neighbours as we are on a 500 acre property and only 7 minutes to the town of Narrabri NSW
