Robinson Cottage
72-74 High Street, 7120 Oatlands, Australia – Great location - show map
My 3x great grandmother was married to the man who built Robinson Cottage in 1837 so it was a delight to stay in a cottage that my family potentially lived in or visited! The cottage was delightful, with brand new kitchen and bathrooms and a comfy lounge room. We appreciated the period furniture and paintings to give it a historic feel, whilst still having all the mod cons!

The cottage is more than 100 years old although you wouldn't think so. It is a beautifully mainatained and restored premises. The rooms were nicely decorated and the old photos etc of the property were fascinating. We arrived at 1am, entry was very easy and the cottage was freezing (mid winter) but after cranking the air con up and the radiator heaters we were toasty warm in about 30 minutes. During the night I became too hot as all the heating was working so well and I had to turn it down. Just next door is a tiny little whisky bar with a fireplace. I am coming back to the cottage just to drink whiskey and stumble in next door! Although this was just a late night stop between Launceston and Hobart I intend coming back just to stay in the cottage. The town itself was wonderful, the local pub had a lovely breakfast and a fire going. I loved it.

easy parking, great little cottage right next door to Imbibers wine and cheese bar, and aquatic centre. Shower was very good,

Brad was wonderful in managing a booking difficultly we had, thank you Brad.

Breakfast was not included - we had our own. It was a studio room, the beds and bedding were excellent, as were all bathroom fixtures and fittings, and useful things such as a coffee machine, iron, ironing board, hairdryer etc provided. We enjoyed our stay there, close to lots of interesting galleries and shops in Oatlands, and would certainly recommend Robinson Cottage, and stay there again.

Clean, cute and comfortable. Great location. All modern amenities.

We had the one room studio which is on the left of the cottage. It has some cooking facilities which could be very useful when the pub and cafe are closed. It is in the Main Street which was good. Very small town so easy to get around. Walking distance to cafe and pub with good food. The room was a quaint mix of old and new.

We loved the heritage accommodation - original Georgian cottages nicely restored and provided with modern comforts. It was great being right next door to The Imbibers, for excellent whisky tastings. The generous parking access at the rear enabled us to plug in our EVs for overnight charging to get on to our next destination - thankyou!

Perfect little cosy cottage. It had everything that we needed for a stop over. We could have spent more time here.

Lovely historic cottage. I loved that the history was embraced and celebrated throughout with a touch of modern facilities in the fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. Check in was very easy. Off street parking was a bonus
