Thank you for booking with us and we look forward to your arrival. Our team consists of locals who are on hand to make your stay an enjoyable one. Throughout my travels I have encountered many unique accommodation stays both in Australia and Internationally. I realize that there are certain elements that guests look for when booking accommodation. It's the little things in life that can put a smile on your face and create a lasting memory. Come stay with us and our team can recommend many local places to visit in our beautiful part of the world, the South East of South Australia.
Property info
The 4 Rocks Retreat Cabins are situated across the road from the beach and next door to the local tavern. The Cabins are in close walking proximity to the general store. Plenty of room for your boat or van. Relax and enjoy the sounds of the ocean The ocean outlook constantly changes with the weather, tides and seasons and is a mesmerising sight all year. Enjoy a short walk across the road to the safe swimming beach and stroll along the sand to Bucks Bay, relax and unwind while watching the Cray boats return to Port. The cabins are immaculately clean and extremely well equipped, stylish and comfortable. At the rear of the retreat is an undercover BBQ area with outdoor setting. The tavern next door will be reopened November 2018 and will have cafe style food, groceries lines with bar and bottle shop opened daily. No laundry facilities available at cabins but guests are able to access in house laundry between 5 and 8pm.
Neighborhood info
Carpenter Rocks is a tiny coastal town on the Limestone Coast. A 20 minute drive takes you to Mount Gambier and the famous Blue Lake. There are also a number of underground caves around the area which are fun to explore. The area faces the Southern Ocean and is renowned for its rugged coastline which provides exceptional fishing and diving locations. The town is a gateway to the Canunda National Park. The wild landscapes command a high level of 4WD expertise, ask us for local information if planning to 4 wheel drive along our beaches or through the national park. Carpenter Rocks supports a significant southern rock lobster industry and Bucks Bay provides a safe haven for the many fishing boats moored there. Visitors can spend some time at the towns beautiful bay and enjoy surfing, diving or fishing. The Cape Bank Light House is only 4 kms from Carpenter Rocks. The boat ramp at Blackfellows Caves allows for easy launching and retrieval of your boat after a day of fishing. Leisurely walks along the beach and rod fishing from the cliffs ensures you have a relaxing holiday Port MacDonnell is only a 28 km drive from Carpenters Rocks and has a selection of cafes and shops.
