Difficulty opening keypad to access keys. Could have had better essentials supplied, such as cooking oils, paper towels, more toilet paper, batteries supplied for TV remote as it wasnt working, clock also needed new batteries.

As mentioned in some of the previous reviews, the overall cleaning needs to improve. I contacted the agent to let them know of some of the issues and they ensured they had blocked out time to follow up. For us the issues were; the main bedroom window wouldn’t open with a note attached saying ‘Do not open’. ( the agents reply to this was that they were waiting on a part for it to be repaired). Only one house key was left for us, there is a key lock by the front door but the front door can’t be secured from the inside without using a key. The laundry door uses the same key. Don’t think it’s too much of a drama to have 2 keys for 4 adults. ( the agents reply was a locksmith had been to the house just prior to us arriving to replace a key that the previous renters had not returned.) The vertical blinds and scrim curtains let the property down and the agent said the owner is in the process of replacing some of the furniture. ( the heavy black sofa with - not working - recliners will hopefully be part of the new furniture purchases) The bbq wasn’t really clean and being really nit picky - the bath towels are thin and cheap. For a 4 night rental, there was only one rubbish bag and no where near enough washing detergent or dishwasher tabs. ( unfortunately our previous rental - which was for two weeks - had a huge supply of everything, we didn’t need to buy a thing for the house so it is that bench mark that we are comparing Rolling Waves with ). Salt and pepper shakers and a bottle of olive oil would also be a great touch.

This property is in a great location with a back gate leading to the Main Beach in Merimbula. It also has a double lock up garage, great front deck as well as washing machine/dryer and external clothesline. The kitchen is well supplied with crockery, cutlery and pots and pans etc. One bedroom has a queen bed and the other two rooms each have two singles. There was an electric blanket on the main bed but not on the singles in the next room. It’s freezing downstairs (no heating ) so the electric blankets were much appreciated. There are two small blow heaters in each of the downstairs rooms - they need a good clean out as they blew dust and smelt dusty when in use. We noticed a few things that need attention; they didn’t stop us from having a wonderful time, cooking a few meals and also ordering in takeaway. This will be a really good place to stay if a little bit of attention was paid, and we would return and stay again.

The house was cleaned to a very low standard which I have passed on to management and is in need of a good scrub and some maintenance. Eg lounge recliners broken, leaky tap, blown lights, grubby bathroom/kitchen, etc. The cleanliness and hygiene factor is something to be taken seriously in the current pandemic situation.

The property location in a relatively quiet neighbourhood and the proximity to the beach is excellent, and the reason we returned to this property. Private beach access has you walking on Main Beach in a minute or so. Plus you can take your pet on holiday with you as the property has little fenced courtyard too.
